My Personally Gentle Existential Crisis

I don't want to go home yet,
no, I don't want to leave this place.
Watching stars appear after the sunset,
satisfaction fills my heart's empty space.

I just want to walk these streets,
devoid of all the people now.
Hair swaying in the softest breeze;
try being without knowing how.

And as the pale clouds pass by
in the evening sky far above my head,
I must wonder if there's a reason why,
even as we all are caught in Fate's net.

We answer with painting life in colour,
singing our hearts out to the silence,
writing capturing stories readers devour,
all the while creating our own difference.

So I'm going to stay - not for long,
just enough to learn my own piece,
enough to share and grow strong,
so that my soul can be at ease.
