Aria's Pov

Edward had dropped me off outside the diner, that my father and sister are already waiting for me in. We had agreed that on Saturdays we would eat at 'Forks Café'. I had to take a second outside the café to calm my self down as my smile had started to actually hurt my face.

As I walked towards the door I passed Mike, who was hanging out with several of his beasketball teammates. I really didn't want to talk to the older boy, but when he called for my attention I had stupidly given it to him, when I could have just kept walking and pretended not to hear him.

"Yo, Arizona!" he yelled to me as I squeezed my eyes shut before turning and facing him as he walked to stand in front of me. "So. You and Cullen?" he asked with a smile on his face and just hearing Edward's name has my heart quickening and another smile breaking through my lips.

"Yup." I smile at him as I continue on my way inside the diner and hurry to my father and sister's table. "Sorry I'm late. I had a biology project to work on with a kid from my class."

There was no way in hell, I was telling my dad that I had been over at a boys house. Especially since I have kissed said boy on more than one occasion. As I got comfortable in the seat next to my dad and across form Bella, Cora sets a top sirloin steak in front of daddy, a plate of seafood in front of Bella, and a cheeseburger with curly fries in front of me.

Bella looked at my burger and daddy's steak with a grimace "Maybe next time you guys should order the seafood platter and cut back on the cows.'

Daddy looked aghast at the very thought "I'm as healthy as a horse." he argued.

"Yeah?" I asked him with a grin "Before or after they shot it."

This caused both of my family member's to start laughing as I put a pile of ketchup on my plate with a laugh of my own.

"Chief," Cora called with a concerned frown on her face as we all looked towards her "Boys want to know if you found anything by Queets River today?"

It was as if the whole diner stopped as it quieted and it seemed like everyone's attention was on my father.

"The suspect's moving east. Kitsap County Sheriff is taking over from here. They're putting extra guys on the case."

"I hope they catch him fast." Cora says as she moves off with a measure of relief. The happy atmosphere at our table dampened as we quietly ate our food before I notice Mike at the window behind Bella and it seems Daddy does as well.

"Your friends are flagging you." he tells us as I laugh and turn my attention back to my food as I take my burger apart to put it back together in the order that I like. "It's okay if you two wanna join them. I'm just gonna turn in early anyway." he tells us as Bella quickly agrees that she will head to bed as well. "It's a Friday night. Go out. The Newton boy's got a big smile for you. Nice family, the Newtons."

Bella makes a face that I try not to laugh at "He's just a friend." she argues but that doesn't stop our father. "None of the boys in town interest you?" he asks her.

At this point Bella is flushed a bright red and I'm silently laughing. "What about Aria?" she quickly calls out as my laughter quickly dies down and the smile falls from my lips as I stare at the two, petrified as daddy turns to face me and I shoot a glare towards my sister who now looks smug.

"What boys is she talking about." he asks me with a straight face.

"No boys!" I quickly rush out and wince when I realise that I had shouted the answer at my father who noticed and his face seemed to get paler as he keeps his eyes on me.
