Aria Knight died at the age of 12 and that should have been the end.
What happens when she's brought back in another life with no memory of her past life and a new family, in a different world, a world her original older sister used to read about...
My alarm buzzed sharply at 6:30 a.m., pulling me from sleep. Today was my first day at Forks High School, and I couldn't afford to be late.
I grabbed Ellayla's leash and stepped outside with her. Overnight, the sky had opened a quiet snowfall, covering the yard in a soft, sparkling blanket. She sniffed the snow, then trotted off to do her business, leaving tiny paw prints behind her.
Once she was done, I scooped her up and carried her back inside, brushing snow from her fur before heading to my bathroom.
Unlike Bella, who shared a bathroom with Daddy, I had my own. Spending more time in Forks meant I had my own space—and I loved it. I lathered myself with my vanilla-scented body wash, letting the warm water relax me, then rinsed and followed with the matching shampoo and conditioner. Stepping out, I noticed I still had forty minutes before Bella and I had to leave.
I went back to my room, rifling through my dresser for a white-and-pink bra with matching panties. Then I moved to my closet, where I kept my school outfits pre-selected for the weather. Today I chose dark blue skinny jeans, a soft white sweater layered over a grey tank top, long grey wool socks, and my tan boots—warm enough for the chill outside but still comfortable for the long walk to school.

I spent a few minutes fixing my hair into its usual curly ringlets, letting them tumble almost to my waist. A swipe of mascara, a dab of pink lip gloss, and I stepped back to admire myself in the floor-length mirror. Satisfied, I scooped up Ellayla and headed downstairs to make both of us breakfast.
Bella was already in the kitchen, surprisingly cheerful for a school morning. I couldn't help but smile at her rare excitement. I pulled two Eggo waffles from the freezer and popped them into the toaster. While they browned, I filled Ellayla's purple food bowl with Puppy Chow and refilled her pink water dish.
The waffles popped, and I grabbed the grape jelly from the fridge, spreading it thickly over my breakfast before devouring both plates and washing up. A glance at my phone told me it was already 7:35. Time to go.
I called Ellayla's name softly before scooping her up and placing her in her cage with her food, water, and a chew toy.
"Bye, Ellayla. Mommy will see you after school. Love you, baby."
I blew her a kiss and followed Bella out the door—just in time to see her trip over nothing and hit the ground.
"Damn, Bella. Still clumsy, I see," I teased as Daddy ran over from the truck to help her up.
While we helped her steady herself, a shiver ran down my spine. Something in the yard felt... off. I glanced around, but everything looked normal.
"I'm perfectly capable of driving us to school, Dad," Bella said, dusting herself off with an air of defiance.
