Red. Green. Blue. Gold. Sparks flew into the dark sky, as I lean my back against a cold piece of metal. My eyes flutter, adjusting to the bright array of colors above me. Warmth spreads within my chest, happiness overflowing. A soft smile slowly forms on my face as I tuck a loose hair behind my ear. My fingers lift up, grazing my cheek, a wet streak left by my fingers as it continued to my hair.
My hand stopped as soon as I felt some type of liquid reach my skin. I pull my hand forward, pausing it right in front of my face. Black goo... no... a fire work lit up the sky and the true color on my hand was revealed. Red. Blood stained my hand.
I panicked and placed my hands to my sides, hoping to get up; however, my left hand was stopped by something smooth. I look down, to see a hand. My eyes slowly trace up the arm... to see a white hoodie, partially drenched in blood. My eyes widened and my bottom lip quivered as my eyes saw the face of the person was beside me. His frame slouched, his hair partially covered his face and his mouth slightly gaped open.
Chishiya.
His eyes drooped low, almost closing them, barely breathing. I started to heave up as I take his face into my hand, lifting it. The whites of his eyes were vibrant but his pupils were soulless. I sobbed out. My hands shakily went to his neck, supporting it, making his eyes look into mine. My bottom lip quivered violently as I placed his forehead on mine. Closing my eyes and holding them shut, I let the tears fall down my face and sobs fell out of my mouth. Almost screaming. Feeling half dead.
I gasped for air, keeping my eyes shut, hoping this was all a dream. I hoped and prayed, if there is a God, for Chishiya to come back to me. Then... a warm hand was placed on my cheek.
"Y/N." Chishiya's voice whispered into my ear.
I snapped my eyes open, only being greeted by a beige ceiling. With my heartbeat raised, I immediately sat up and turned my head in all different directions, looking for Chishiya, hoping that he is alright.
"Y/N..." Kuina approached me, "That was a dream, you're alright."
My wide eyes stared into hers, trying to remember how I got into this bed and how I fell asleep. My thoughts scattered, trying to retrace my steps. A sharp pain in my temple arose, placing the palm of my hand on it. I groaned in pain, leaning forward, trying to shake it off.
"You hit your head," Kuina explained calmly, "You heard Chishiya upstairs, thinking he was in danger, you ran up the stairs and missed one. You tripped and hit your temple."
I kept my hand on my face, trying to remember that. However, every time I tried to remember what happened after Niragi started speaking, the pain returned to me once again. I heard a door open and my attention was directed toward it. Lowering my hand, Chishiya came into view, untouched and alright. His zip up was white as it always is and his pupils were filled with life. My heart fluttered in relief and that soft smile returned to my face once more.
"You're happy to see me." Chishiya commented, cockily.
"I guess I am," I admit. I take a second to realize what I just said and I look at Kuina who was standing, crossing her arms, smiling and raising an eyebrow. I clear my throat, "I'm glad to see you both."
Silenced wavered over us for a few seconds. Then, I uncovered myself from the blankets and stood up.
"Woah!" Chishiya held out his arms, holding them out in case I fall, "You alright? It seemed like you fell really hard on your head. You should rest some more."
I furrow my eyebrows at him, my fingers lightly touch my temple... no bump... I reassured him, "No concussion Doctor... I'm alright."
He lowered his arms and kept his eyes on me, Kuina doing the same. I asked, "Did we get the cards?"
