Few days had passed since I had told Antonio about my second gift. I still hadn't told anyone else in the family, afraid of that they would do. The men, that I overheard talking about robbing the village, hadn't showed themselves or made any attempt to burn Casita or rob the village. I had still to figure out why they wanted to, but I decided to focus on telling the family about my gift first. These last days I had used my gifts at lot in my room, and I was getting really got at controlling them. I noticed that, to addition to being able to breathe underwater, I was able to swim pretty good. But I was always a great swimmer, so maybe that didn't connect?

It was a normal morning, the sun shone briefly through the thick clouds that covered the sky and the soft breeze was warm. I had gotten dressed and walked along the balcony, heading to the kitchen. There I met Mirabel, who was walking in the opposite direction. I smiled briefly, a smile she returned, but then we both kept walking. A thought hit my head and I turned around.

"Hey, Mirabel." I said and she turned around with a questioning look.

"I just suddenly thought of this," I said and put up my nicest smile, "but what would happen if someone in the family got two gifts? What would that mean to them?" I asked and tried to make me sound and look like I just thought of this.

Mirabel thought about my words for a second before answering. "Not sure really. That hasn't happened, and I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen." She said and then smiled. "But if someone got two, I'd ask to get one." She laughed and kept walking along the balcony.

I chuckled dryly and smiled, but when Mirabel was gone, I stopped smiling and dropped my head, continuing my walk towards the kitchen.

I didn't know why I asked Mirabel, really. She didn't even have a gift. But she had the best connection to Casita and saved the miracle four years back.

When I was in the kitchen I grabbed a slice of Julieta's homemade bread and headed out through the back door. Tío Augustín was chopping some wood and I waved him as I passed. Poor tío Augustín wasn't the luckiest man here and was always getting stung by bees.

I kept walking through the village and helped a woman carry her heavy bags to her house, and then walked to a small river. This one was closer to Casita than the big one, and I was sure that if I would fall in, the water would just be knee high.

I sat down on the riverbank and watched the flowers move slightly in the soft breeze. It was kind of hypnotising. I then started to move my hands, making the water rise and forming all kind of patterns. I moved my hands back in forth, in an elegant pattern and made the water form a whale. I smiled as it reminded me of Lana.

I heard footsteps behind me but didn't turn to look. "Can you also move water?" I heard Isabela's voice say. Her dress moved softly across the grass as she made her way over to me and sat down beside me. She was a lot older than me, but she had always been really nice to me and I found her amazing.

"Yes, it's kind of the same thing I can do with the clouds. And everything, really." I shrugged and continued moving the water. I smirked as I formed it into the picture of Isabela. But she wore men's clothing and was much shorter than she was in reality.

"Hey, that's nothing like me." Isabela said and bumped playfully with her hand into my shoulder.

"Yeah, I know." I said and laughed. I then made her ears look like the ones of a elf, and she had a long, stick-like, nose.

Isabela then made a vine shoot out from the ground and right into my water figure, making it splash all over us.

I moved my, now wet hair, from my eyes and looked playfully at Isabela. She returned the look and for a while we sat there, I playing with the water and Isabela with different plants, both in the river and on the riverbank.
