"We can't go to the village. They have guns, I am not putting you all in danger." Abuela said firmly. "We need to put out the fire. Then we can follow these men."

I didn't try to protest, but intense guilt crawled around in my stomach. If I had just told them about these men before, we would have been ready and put out defences.

A large, dark cloud filled the sky over Casita. My mom tried her hardest but wasn't sad enough to make it rain, just worried, so only thunders echoed and lightnings lit up the sky.

That's when I had a great idea. I ran away from the house, as fast as I could, towards the big river. I knew it was dangerous running through town, but I still did. Broken boxes, water vessels and wood were all around the street along with confused and scared townspeople. I heard gunshots in the distance and hoped no one was hurt. I ran around a corner and spotted three men on horses shooting into the air. I felt relieved as they didn't aim at anyone and figured they were just scaring people.

I didn't think twice and quickly waved my hand and the guns flew from the men's hands. When they were unarmed and defenceless, the villagers pressed upon them, with rakes, wood, boxes, and whatever they could find as weapons. The men were soon thrown off their horses and defeated, but I had already made it to the river when that happened.

I was tired from all this running but still managed to make a huge water bubble from the river and step in it. I figured that would be the quickest way to get the water to Casita. I floated with the huge water bubble around me and headed towards Casita. To my relief, my mom had started to make it rain, but there was still fire burning the house.

I used all my strength to hold me and the bubble in the air. As I levitated above Casita, I could feel the heat from the fire through the water. I heard my dad shout at me from the ground, it was muffled through the water. I aimed and realised the water bubble on the spot where the most fire was, but I was so tired that I dropped myself too.

My vision blurred as I fell closer and closer to the ground. I tried to levitate myself but couldn't. The ground came closer and closer. But then a bed of soft flowers appeared beneath me just as everything went black.

                                                                                  **************

I grunted as I opened my eyes and lifted my head. I lay on a soft bed of flowers and everywhere around me was ash and burnt wood. The air was heavy and I coughed. I heard muffled shouts and looked up. I had landed in the corner of the courtyard. Everything was burnt, with the wood columns and fence from the balcony above, all scattered on the ground. A huge wood piece had landed in front of the front doors and I heard bumping.

I blinked few times to clear my vision and saw Luisa break down the doors. My mom pushed past her along with my dad, Abuela, Antonio, Camilo, Julieta and the rest of the family followed.

Isabela was the first one to spot me and my family ran over.

"Elena, mi amor! What were you thinking. You could have killed yourself!" My mom spoke and hugged me tightly.

"But that was very brave, Elena." Camilo said softly and I smiled at my brother.

"Thanks." I whispered. "I'm sorry." I then said and earned questioning look from my family.

"I knew about these men. I overheard them talk about burning Casita the day I fell in the river and discovered my second gift. I didn't know what to tell you and just hoped that I had misheard. Then I was also trying to figure out how to tell you all about my second gift." I finally confessed and felt a lot better. Like a pile of rocks had been taken of my shoulders.

"Oh, Elena. You shouldn't have to be so worried." Abuela spoke and kneeled down beside me. "The townsfolk got these men. They say their guns flew out of their hands so they were able to capture them."

"Yeah, I made the guns fly away when I was running towards the river to get water." I chuckled and Abuela too. That's when something hit my head. "The candle. Where is it?" I asked, scared.

"Don't worry, I was able to bring it out." Abuela said and I smiled.

My dad helped me up and we walked out the front doors. Then we turned back to the house, and Abuela picked up the candle she had left on the grass.

"I guess there is more rebuilding." Tío Bruno spoke and everybody laughed softly.

"Well, that's a family's job. Luckily we have a good one." Abuela said and put a hand on my shoulder.

I nodded and moved closer to Abuela. My face was now close to the candle and I could feel the warmth coming from it. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the small butterfly on the candle start to move. It's golden and glowing wings flapped as it came alive and flew from the candle.

I gasped and moved away as the butterfly flew circles around me, and with each one, more and more glowing butterflies, appeared. I heard gasps from my family as the butterflies were so many I could hardly see the world around me. I could feel the heat and the glow radiating from them.

A huge glow lit up the circle of butterflies and I felt energy inside me. It grew and grew and then the butterflies started to fly towards the house and stop circling around me. I felt my energy fade as the butterflies flew above the house and a lot of glowing dust started to fall of them. The house glowed and when that glow faded, the house was repaired. I gasped in awe and so did my family. Even the flowers and plants were repaired just like they had been before. It was like the house never burnt.

The butterflies had all disappeared, except one. That one butterfly flew down to us and landed on my finger. I felt warmth and energy radiate from it and I smiled. The butterfly flew around and touched each and every member of the family. Then it sat on the candle and, with a blink of my eye, it was back on the candle like it had been before.

Abuela looked astonishingly at the candle and then at me. I just smiled back and turned around walking up the steps to the front door. The tiles above the door moved happily, almost like Casita was saying hello.

"Hola, Casita." I heard Mirabel say behind me and I smiled as I took the golden doorknob that was marked with an 'M'. I opened the door and we stepped into our house, the house of wonder and magic.

The End

Wow, I cannot believe I actually finished this. When I thought of this idea I was like, well cool but will people like it. Guess we have to find out. How did you like the story? Oh, I think it would be so cool if this would be a second Encanto movie. The movie was really good, it just died to quickly, sadly.

I know this wasn't long but I just wrote this quickly and am going to post it like it is. Maybe I will come back and rewrite later on, maybe with better plot and more characters. This was all just kind of the top of my head.

But yeah, if you made it this far, thank you so so much. I am a young author and am practising to become better so if you would like, stick around for more of my stories soon to be posted. Those will probably be longer, lol :).

And please, don't steal this idea. I will hunt you down and you have been warned🫵! But in all honesty, I have had issues with that kind of stuff before and it just sucks!

Thanks you and lots of love ❤️
