Dear Grandma,
I miss you. This morning, I woke up in the house that you left 12 years ago. Everything is still fresh and alive in memory- your smile, laughter, curly hair, red necklace, and body warmth as I hugged you on a cold night.
I spent 2022 living in this house. It was quite an experience. I made a new memory with this old house. It's where I stayed to unwind after a long day at work. It's where I sat and read to ease my tired mind. I used mom's room as a kitchen and made plenty of recipes. This house means more to me than its look. It's also where I welcomed little children to the heart of Jesus through free English class. It's where I learned the importance of creativity and calmness in solitude.
My heart grieves that you are not here to witness many things throughout these years. I have grown a lot, grandma. But it would be a lot more meaningful to have you here. Just a memory of you makes my day. It woke me up in tears of missing you but also with the hope that life goes on no matter what. I will hold your love and care with me for the rest of my life. I love you always.
Love,
K
