One of the reasons for me to wake up is my family. God blesses me with both biological and spiritual families who are far from perfect but with God's grace, we are here. It may be undesirable, but most of our heartbreaking times can happen in the family but so are the most undivided. Family teaches you how to love unconditionally. If you are married, you probably know how it is to love a spouse beyond his or her difference. If you are a mother or father, your love for your children is selfless. Despite diverse ways to raise a child, I believe every parent has one thing in common- they love their child so much. They may make mistakes or treat you wrong at some points, but after all, they deserve your selfless love in response too. If you have a sibling or siblings, you may have been in a fight with them for once or more in your lifetime. Each one has their own ego. The remedy is to consider each other as one of the family and that's where reconciliation comes from.
A family does not have to be blood-related. Have you ever met a stranger, become friends and then your life has never been the same? Someone or a group of people who happened to cross your path does not just exist for no reason. They may not be the people you talk to every day, but for a lifetime, you can count on them. What a blessing to cherish!
Someday, some of you are going to be one of the roles mentioned above. In the nature of family, the unnatural can happen and that's when you are challenged to make a difference.
