Nobody could ever forget Veronica and Camiloʼs wedding, no matter what happened.

Veronica was supposed to marry someone else but Camilo came and crashed the wedding at the very last second, before Veronica could say 'I doʼ to Guiseppe, the guy she was supposed to marry.

Camilo confessed his feelings to her, and they were mutual, cause Veronica had them all along, ever since they met. But Camilo didnʼt. At least he didnʼt know about those feelings even if he did have them all along. He needed a little nudge so these feelings could wake up and come to the surface, and it happened when he read Veronicaʼs letter to him. A letter in which she was confessing her feelings to him, but he was never supposed to see it.

So, he came in and crashed their wedding, asking Veronica to marry him instead, right there and then. Veronica said 'yesʼ, and thatʼs how those two got married, right there and then, with no rings, no preparations, no celebrations, with Veronica in a wedding dress and Camilo in his casual clothing.

Obviously Guiseppeʼs family got mad, but both Abuela and Veronicaʼs mother spoke with her and Camiloʼs family returned the money they gave for the wedding.

But that wasnʼt it. Camilo was a Madrigal, he couldnʼt just get married briefly like that. They needed a huge celebration for it, just like they had for all the previous weddings.

About one month after their brief marriage, and while Veronica was still staying at her old house because, according to everyone, nothing was official yet, the actual ceremony happened.

It was a huge fiesta at the Casita, with food, drinks, dancing and all the village there to wish them 'felicinadesʼ. They were peparing for it for days before it actually happened, and both Camilo and Veronica were looking forward.

Neither of them could believe it. They were technically married, they were about to live their whole lives together, free to love each other openly and show their affection.

When they met each other during the day, it was completely diferrent than how it used to be. Camilo was ten times more protective of Veronica than he was before, and they couldnʼt stop sharing those sweet, passionate kisses that they had been holding in for so long.

And then the day came. The whole village was at the Casita to help the Madriglas set everything ready for the fiesta. And it was marvelous. Isabella had filled the walls with the most beautiful and also the wildest flowers, all the animals were playing with the people, Pepaʼs mood had a wonderful sun shining above the village, it was like a dream.

When the time was right at late afternoon, all the guests, pretty much everyone in the village once again, started gathering. Abuela, Felix, Pepa and Veronicaʼs mother were at the front door welcoming the guess, each and everyone wishing 'felicinadesʼ and handing their wholesome gift as they were getting in. It was a fact, everyone loved the Madrigals and the Montoyas, and it was now time to love them as one.

Everyone else was inside, seating all the guests to their seats at all the table that were set up, while Mirabel was watching over her her newphew Jorje.

The priest had also showed up, not as just a guest, as they were planning to keep a few traditions even like that.

But where was Veronica and Camilo? Well, they were up with Bruno, who was almost in tears, in his room.

"You guys, I just canʼt believe this happened. I always knew it was going to happen, but now I canʼt believe it really happened," Bruno was telling them as they were hugging them both tightly.

"Thanks," they both said when Bruno let go of them.

"Even if you had been a little stupid this whole time itʼs okay because it was all worth it in the end," he told Camilo in the most well-meant way possible as he smiled a bit. Camilo didnʼt mind, it was true. "Now, Iʼm just gonna go downstairs before Abuela throws a fit, just leave you two lovebirds alone," he said as he stood up.

"But Bruno, this is your room!" Veronica giggled.

"Itʼs okay, doesnʼt matter!" he replied as he was heading out, mumbling to himself, "My nephew is getting married to a little angel! What a blessing!"

Veronica and Camilo chuckled at Bruno a bit, then looked at each other, Camilo taking Veronicaʼs hands in his.

"So, um, here we are now..." Camilo smiled awkwardly.

"Yeah," Veronica did the same.

"Just so you know, I love you. And itʼs true I had been stupid all this time but now I can see what I really want. And I will always be here for you and love you," Camilo then said.

"I love you too. And itʼs okay, I kind of feel like itʼs my fault too, it wasnʼt right not to tell you I had feelings for you this whole time..." she replied.

"Itʼs not your fault, okay? The important thing is that we are here, right now, and weʼre getting married. We are going to spend the rest of our lives together," he said as he pulled her in for a hug.

Veronica hugged him back as she kept her smile. A couple of moments later they pulled away, and at that very second, as Camiloʼs eyes were pierced on hers, he leaned in closer to her for another kiss to seal their love. But just before this could happen, they were interrupted.

"Camilo, Veronica, itʼs time!" Abuelaʼs voice echoed.

They both burst out laughing as they heard Abuela, and stood up to go outside. Everyone was gathered up in there, ready to witness their ceremony. Most of the procedures were already done in the previous wedding, but there were still things that needed to be done.

"Alright, we are gathered here once again to finish what we left unfinished in regards to the connection of these two people, Camilo Madrigal, and Veronica Montoya," the priest said, everyone in silence and the only other sound except the priests voice was their relatives crying happy tears. "The rings, please?"

Mirabel approached the couple that was standing in front of the priest, holding hands and looking at each other deeply in the eyes. She had the little box that contained the rings in her hands, and gave it to the priest. He blessed it, then opened it.

Camilo got one of the two rings first, and placed it gently on Veronicaʼs finger. Veronica did the same thing after him, both with smiles on their faces. Then, Antonio approached them, this time with two lit candles on his hands, and gave one to each. This was the candle ceremony, in which, by disposing of the individual candles and lighting one together, the couple became one. And so it happened.

Abuela approached with a third candle in her hands, and Camilo and Veronica tunred to face her and everyone watching. Using their two candles, they lit up the third one, then blew out the individual ones at the same time. Abuela handed them the candle which symbolized their unity and went back to the crowd.

"You are now officially husband and wife!" the priest announced with joy in his voice.

Camilo and Veronica leaned in to kiss each other, the candle still lighting between them. Everyone was clapping, while Pepa and Veronicaʼs mother were hugging each other while trying to hold their tears.

A huge fiesta followed after that, everyone dancing all night long. The two of them had just brought a great amount of joy to the whole village, and everyone was sharing it. A great joy there were about to keep for the rest of their lives.
