Baby fever

Mike walked into the living room to see Me, Liam, Frank and Tee all sat in watching tv.
He stood in the doorway and we turned to face him, his face was red and you could tell something was up.

"E'r office please" he said

I stood up and walked over to him, as we walked over to the office he had his hand placed on my back which made me anxious.
We entered the office to see Gina sat the desk.

"Listen," Mike said sitting at his desk

"Babe, your mums decided she dosent want you to be in contact with the new baby" She explained softly

"Why not?" I asked disappointment covering my anger

"She wants to settle her new family bef-" She began to explain

"Before she thinks about me, her old family" i rolled my eyes

"E'r..." Mike said solemnly

"It's true, she wants me no where near the baby so she can live out her fantasy" I exclaimed throwing my arms up

"Calm down babe" Gina said

"You can try sympathise when you mum replaces you" i snap as i walk out the office and storm upstairs

My disappointment had dissolved at that point and all that was left was anger. I punched the wall next to the stairs in pure frustration, if only it was mum i thought.
Carmen walked into the hallway to see what was going on

"What are you doing?!" She exclaimed

I ignored her and pushed past to get to my room, slamming the door behind me.
I immediately grabbed my laptop and opened instagram. Mums account instantly popped up

The post read-

So Glad to announce baby girls name, I really hope she will fill the hole in our heart and family and cant wait to hold our baby girl. We are so excited to meet you Marigold-May Jeffreys

I read the post over and over, probably around 10 times and every time i did i got more angry. That baby was going to be their perfect and special kid that i cant mess up or taint.
That baby is going to be the kid they wanted me to be.

Sometimes i wish i just listened to mum and acted how she wanted, i would be in a actual family, but I cant just lie to myself for her. I think i would die trying.

I restrained myself from commenting anything on the post and instead scrolled the rest of her page. It was full of perfect family pictures and baby scans, it was due any day now.
The baby that was going to replace me would be here within the week, and that hurt.

I scrolled through the pictures until i came to the bottom of her page and noticed something strange. It suddenly as clicked.

She had edited me out of all the photos i was in. She was erasing me from her life and thats why she wanted no contact. I wasnt surprised really though, She wanted to come across perfect and anything that reminded people her eldest was in care would ruin it.

I scrolled alittle further up to see a close up photo of Will. His little dimples on full show.
I hadnt see Will for around 5 months, maybe 6, he was the only one in that family who liked me and i get scared they will taint his memories of me.

I saw Mike in the hallway and stopped him

"Mike, i wanna see Will" i announced

"E'r, we cant unless your mum applys for visiting for him" Mike said sorrily

"But hes my brother! You know thats messed up!" I exclaimed angrily

"E'r I know, I just cant do anything its the law" he tried to comfort but to no avail

I stormed into my bedroom and began to fill a brown backpack with objects and such.

Liam walked into my room while i was stuffing stuff in the bag

"What are you doing?" he asked

"What do you think" I said sourly

"E'r you cant" He exclaimed "You cant just pick up and leave" He explained

"She cant what?" Carmens voice asked from the hallway.

I dropped my bag to the ground and walked towards her, bending my knees to be on her level i made direct eye contact with her

"You snitch and you will regret it" I said dryly

She scurried off back to her room and i swung the bag on my back

"Same for you. Your dead meat if you tell anyone" I snapped while opening the window

Liam stayed quite as i swung my leg out the window

"Dead meat" i repeated
