𝑌/𝛮'𝑠 𝑃𐒆𝑉:

I constantly rearrange my body on the sleeping mat, trying to get more comfortable. I struggle to get cozy and lie awake in the end of night for a moment.

I sit up, seeing everyone else sleeping peacefully. I find the sound of the soft waves catching my attention as I look out of the entrance. The glistening ocean practically calls to me and I turn to all of the sleeping kids before standing up. As silently as I can, I begin slowly creeping out of the pod.

Sitting down, my eyes can't help but admire the bright stars that light up the dark night besides the large moon. I swing my feet from beneath me in the cool water that swishes from my touch.

Small fish swim around my feet and I smile, now softly singing under my breath.

"Why are you awake?" a voice says from behind me, making me jolt as I turn to see it was Neteyam. "Eywa," I muttered to myself, slightly taken aback by the scare. "Sorry, did not mean to scare you," he apologizes, squatting down next to me.

"It is fine, did I wake you?" I ask to the boy who nods his head, "Yea but I am a light sleeper so it is not your fault," he reassures me.

"So why are you out here? It's pretty late," he brings up and I shrug, "I woke up for no reason and the ocean looked so beautiful, I couldn't keep myself away. I miss it too much," I explain and he nods, "It is unlike anything I have seen before," he acknowledges it's beauty, "Why do you miss it?" he then asks and I sigh, "I haven't really visited it enough recently. Since you were shot, my troubles have kept me from it," I tell him and he frowns.

"Is it my fault?" he asks and I shake my head, "No of course not! I have simply not made enough time for it." I clarify, but he still looks full of guilt.

"I feel like such a liability to you. You have put your life on hold on my behalf," he voices. I put a hand on his shoulder, that loosens up under it, "Neteyam it is worth it for you," I reassure him and his eyes meet mine, a small smile playing at his lips. I soon avert my eyes from his almost intimidating gaze, looking up to the stars now.

"Do you like looking at the stars?" he asks me and I nod my head. "I like looking at everything on Pandora. The stars are only one of it's many beauties," I tell him and he nods, "You know my dad came from a star," he brags and I remember hearing of how his father was originally one of the sky people.

"That one," he points with his finger, his cheek close besides mine. I stare at where his finger points for a moment before Neteyam's face turns to me, his lips brushing against my cheek which he quickly pulls back from.

"Shit, sorry," he curses under his breath, now taking his hand and wiping his lips. I raise my eyebrows, nearly shocked, "Did you really just wipe your lips?" I ask the embarrassed boy, "Well yea but-" I turn my head away from the boy, my ego more bruised than ever before.
