Hokma had been hiding under her bed ever since Malachi told her to.
She was worried on what will happen to him when meeting that man but she does put a little faith in her big brother.
She then realised her thoughts in regards to Malachi as she is quick to consider her a big brother. Granted, she doesn't have any person to actually taking care of her and the only one now is Malachi who came from out of nowhere and is treating her like a brother would to their little sibling.
She smiled sadly at this, wondering if Malachi would-
She heard a creak on the wooden floor as she covered herself and refused to make even a peep, hinting the possibility that it could be someone from those mean people and-
"Hokma! Hokma! Where are you? Come on out. It's gonna be fine now."
Hokma heard the familiar voice of Malachi as she then started to widened her eyes, "Malachi!?" She said in shock until she accidentally on top of her bed, making her wince in pain, "Owie!"
"Hokma..." Malachi said as she heard the familiar footsteps as Malachi had barged into her room to see her lying under the bed, "There you are."
"Malachi!" Hokma called out as she quickly get out of bed and hugged Malachi, "I'm really worried about you."
"Hey, don't worry about a thing. As if some guy wearing a trenchcoat would scare me." Malachi assured her as he pat her head as Hokma beamed happily.
Hokma then looked at Malachi again as she said, "So, are we gonna eat something?"
What she didn't expect was for him to frown as he said, "Yeah, sorry. Hokma..." Malachi then kneeled down and said, "I am gonna go away for tonight. I have a mission to do. Angel stuff, you know?"
"W-what do you mean?" Hokma said, looking sadly at him.
"Listen, Hokma. There is a reason why I was sent to this world in the first place. This world is filled with really bad people, doing really bad things. And I am going to do something about it?" Malachi said to her.
"But, isn't the Superheroes making the world better? Like Homelander? Or the Seven?" Hokma explained to Malachi but he suddenly look disappointed.
"You don't know, do you?" Malachi said as Hokma shakes her head, tilting it in confusion, "Hokma. The Superheroes like Homelander, the Seven and even other Superheroes... they're not who you think they are."
"They're not?" Hokma said in confusion.
Malachi just sigh and said, "Look, right now, I have a mission to do and right now, the only thing you can understand is that I have to do this."
"Malachi, just tell me." Hokma said diligently to him but Malachi just shakes his head.
"No, Hokma. You're too young to understand. This world isn't as bright and shiny as you think it is. So, why don't you-"
"JUST FUCKING TELL ME ALREADY!"
Malachi is interrupted when Hokma look teary eyed as she look at Malachi with teary glare, "I.... understand everything of what the world looks like. When.... when my mom died and then, my dad too... I was forced to try to pay a debt to a group of gangsters... that dad did not pay yet... a-and... I... I lost everything to them... forced to grow up... see the world as it is... and..."
