Madelyn Stillwell is really in a panic, right now...

As the Senior Vice President of Vought through their Hero Management, Madelyn does have the experience to handle such a momentous task at hand, such as her control of the Supes at her employ, especially Homelander...

But even she isn't blind on how the result of Malachi's short beatdown against Homelander has made her most powerful asset to slowly but steadily grow more unstable and uncontrollable.

And everybody being exposed to Homelander's behavioral sense of narcissistic sociopathy means that while the image itself can be managed at best through bribery in exchange for their silence through a celebrity prestige is assured, nothing, not even any amount of pampering or assurance, can calm down a super-powered, psychopathic manchild of his temper tantrum.

And of course, there is Malachi.

Madelyn tried to deny the evidence, thinking that the kid in his teen years is probably a Supe that had been so delusional that he thinks he is some sort of angel and she could handle Malachi like any other Supe.

Except that is just false assurance and wishful thinking at best and little is known on how to handle Malachi.

In fact, between being a Supe that isn't even chipped or even have any kind of information on the database, Malachi is practically a sort of Spook that no one has any idea how to deal with regardless of Vought International and their almost limitless resources and connections at their disposal.

And if Stan heard of this little fuckup, she would dread to know if she proves to have done more than doing a 'little fuckup'.

As Madelyn continue to sit in her office, trying to think on how to handle this problem, she suddenly heard her phone ringing, making her felt dread inside.

"Oh no..." She said nervously but she nonetheless picked up the phone and said, "Mr. Edgar. I know this looks bad but I can assure you that the situation can be fixed. If you can give me another chance, I can-"

"I don't want to hear another excuse, cousin. I mean, honestly..." The caller said in a voice that Madelyn actually recognized, not helped that the called her 'cousin', "I retire from my position as CEO of Vought International and entrust it to my trusted man and then you of all people and this is how you did? For shame, cousin. For shame."

"J-J-James..." Madelyn said in disbelief, "Why did you call me now? I mean, it has been so long and-"

"Yes, yes, I know. It has been a rather long while since we haven't talked to each other but news had travelled fast and I heard about your mascot is getting really, really grumpy about someone beating up the entitled manchild you are entrusted with the responsibility of..." James described it all, "And you, of course, know who did it, right?"

Madelyn know who he is referring as she said, "H-how did you know him?"

"Madelyn, what did I say about asking a question with a question?" James said sternly, "And I have my sources, whether it's because I have heard the news or some other method but all that you know is that this Malachi person is bad news for Vought International. And you will likewise know how really, really bad he will do, correct?"
