Vanessa sat down and lay Dappert down letting him rest his head in her lap.
Dappert looked up into her crisp blue eyes with a careless smile despite his condition.
His comforting aqua blue eyes looked up at Vanessa's fearful face.
Dappert reached his hand up and caressed her face lightly wiping a tear from her cheek.
She smiled lightly placing her hand on his that rested on her face
"You idiot...you could have gotten killed..."
He chuckled deeply coughing a bit
"I would never let that happen, Vanessa."
Vanessa put her hand over the wound and closed her eyes as a light emitted from her hand.
The wound began to close up and once she was done she leaned back a bit slouching tiredly.
Dappert smiled handsomely up at her
"If you don't mind I'm just going to lay right here, you are quite warm."
Vanessa laughed quietly
"I don't see why not, you did save me."
He continued to smile
"I told you I would protect you, I meant it."
Vanessa leaned over and lay her head on his chest listening to his heart beat gently.
She sighed drifting off to sleep, before she gave into the pulling of exhaustion she felt Dappert take a deep breath and run his hand through her hair before falling asleep.
