Damien's POV

We just got attacked, you need to come to the pack house Alpha. Sam had mind-linked me. Shit. "we need to go" i told Maya. Her look on her face or worry was one that i would not want to see on her again. As i drove to the pack house, i mind-linked Tran and Sam to make sure my sister, mom and all the other families were safe. Once we got to the pack house i saw some of my best fighters injured. What the hell are these rogues using to defend themselves that are making  my wolves not heal fast enough? With all of this chaos going on, i let Orion out with fury and ran to the woods, to make sure no more rogues were in our territory. I had asked one of my other wolves to stay close to my mate until i came back to the pack house. As i was running up and down the border of my land, Amanda linked me saying the Savage was walking towards Maya and she blacked out. I asked my sister to take Maya inside and take her to my bedroom and lock the door. My mate will be safe there for now. After the chaos had calm down it was close to 5 in the morning.The pack doctor had not slept tending to the injured. "Doctor have you seen anything like this? why are the wolves not healing fast as they usually do? " i asked the doctor  as i was trying to help in any way i could. "I havent seen anything like this in all the years i have been living alpha. cant really tell you until i get some samples of blood and test it to see why the are not healing fast. But i will get you answers soon alpha."  That was not good enough for me but i guess it would have to do for now. While walking to the pack house to see my mate, i saw mom and my sister in the living room waiting for me as well as Sam. "any word from our allies? have they gotten attacked too?" yes alpha, the Apache moon pack said the there hasn't been no attacks on them, and the other packs said the same thing. So why the hell are we the only ones that are being attacked? this doesn't make sense. I gave order to Sam to keep digging for answers. Mom and Amanda went their way to try and get some sleep. I headed towards my bedroom where Maya was. As i opened the door, she was awake and looked petrified."Damien i saw a wolf coming towards me and all this chaos in front of your house. what is going on?" Maya please sit for a moment i will explain everything. She hesitated for a moment, but took a seat at the corner of the bed. "Maya what i am about to tell you is not a joke or a story, is real. Yes there was a wolf walking towards you before you fainted, and is because i sent him to you, to protect you for harm.His name was Savage and he is one of my fighters. This house is actually a pack house. Some of us live here and others live near us in smaller houses. There are some humans living here too but most of us are wolves. Maya i am what they call the Alpha, the leader of the pack. As i kept explaining to her my world, she stook quiet and was looking at me with a blank stare. She didnt move from the corner of the bed as i kept talking."and Maya you are my mate and the future luna of this pack. Do you know what that means?" after i was done talking to her she looked at me and the only thing she said was" take me home please" ummm ok but did you hear everything that i said to you Maya? i asked her, but she just kept asking for me to take her home. Once i made sure it was safe, i drove her back to her home. She didnt say a word on the drive, she just kept looking out the window. I dropped her off at her house and before i could say  something to her, she got out of the truck, turned around and looked at me, after she closed the door and walked in her house. Did i just lost my mate?..
