Damien's POV

We arrived at the pack house and the first thing Maya did was to go upstairs to the guest room and locked the door. I was too tired and hungry to even argue with her so i headed to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. Mom and Amanda were also in the kitchen with the baby, by the way i looked at them, they knew i was not in the mood for the 21 questions, so they let me alone to finish what i was doing and left to the office. I spent the whole night in the office with Sam and Tran talking about business stuff,when we heard a knock at the door. "come in" i said to whoever was on the other side. The door opened slowly and Maya was there at the doorway with a nightgown and a red robe that she must of gotten from the guest room. "Sam,Tran we are done for the nite,go home and we will continue tomorrow at noon" with that said they both left not before nodding at Maya on their way out. I gestured to her to come in and have a seat on the sofa,but she hesitated and stayed standing facing me. " we need to talk Damien" "yes Maya, i know we do, please have a seat oh the chaise if you dont feel right sitting on the sofa" I knew how she felt because of the day she saw Riya sucking me off on the same sofa that day. Maya took a deep breath and followed me with her eyes when i was walking back to my chair behind the desk. "Maya let me just say that"" Damien" she cut me off."why did you brought me back here?" Because i am your mate?,you have no right"she was starting to sound hurt and angry at the same time. I kept trying to explained myself to her but she would shut up for me to explain. When she finished getting all the anger out i stood up and walked to her, grabbed the other chair that was facing her and sat down. I didnt know how to or where to start but i did. After she heard me out. she said something to me that i would never thought would get to hear her say."Damien what would you do if i reject you as my mate? you think i didn't know about that did you?" All of a sudden i felt this heat come over my whole body, my wolf wanted to come out and tear everything in site apart. It took everything i had to keep my Orion inside. "Maya who told you about that? answer me now dammit?!"Mr. Hamlet told me, he told me how it works in your world and how it would affect you,your wolf and the pack. I never asked for any of this.So answer me the question, would you let me go if i reject you as my mate?" I didn't say anything to her. I ripped the door from the hinges and left the house, i had to let Orion out, i needed to get out and leave before i did something i know i was going to regret. For the next 3 days i was nowhere to be found, i had blocked everyone from mind-linking me, even my own mother. My wolf was hurting and so was i. If i accept her rejection my pack would weaken to a point that we would not be the second strongest pack. I need to do something to keep my soon to be new family together.I thought as i was getting ready to sleep in the woods for the 4th night.
