New girl

Amanda's POV

Ugh thank goodness the new girl is still not here yet, my nerves have been on high alert since the rogue attack. If Damien finds out that i sneaked out of the house to come to work i will not hear the end of it,but who care i am older that him for 3 minutes so he is just going to get over it.  Just as i was going to get something to eat, i see Amanda walking towards my office. Well there goes my snack, " hello again Maya, is so nice to see you again, come in have a seat. Are you nervous?" She answered like it was a life or death question. " A little nervous i just don't want to disapoint and fail the staff Ms Amanda." "you will be just fine i will make sure you have everything you need, you dont have to worry". The day went by as fast as it came, and i was so glad to go back home. Sam had mind link me earlier in the day that Damien had found out i sneaked out of the cabin to come to work, so i have to be ready for that. yeah right. As the evening came around and i had just gotten to the cabin, there he was Damien, my lovely but very upset brother and Sam by his side like always, my mate. Geez cant get a break from these two. " Didn't i specifically say not to leave the cabin until i gave the ok when it was safe Amanda?!"Damien sounded more like dad when he was with his fit of rage. His eyes were turning a honey color shade letting me know that Orion was the one speaking." get over yourself Orion, nothing happened ok and besides i had to meet the new girl that is going to replace me when i give birth since i will be out on leave for a months." so calm down ok. All of a sudden Damien's look changed and his ocean green eye came back, like he was in a trance. "mate, you were with my mate?" what? i asked so confused looking at him and then it hit OMG Maya is your mate? Well thank the moon goddess for that, it was about damn time. i giggled at the thought of that and seeing my brother act like he just won a toy. "you mean Maya? the new girl? the one that is going to replace me is your mate Damien?" "is that her name? He kept repeating her name like a broken record,mom and sam were looking at us like we had 3 heads growing out of us. " what with the new girl Maya being your mate dear?" mom asked, "yeah Damien what is all that about? but wait isn't she a human Amanda?" Sam asked me as i was ransaking the fridge for something to eat. "well yeah duh she is, oh wait she is a human and you mate Damien? ohhhh hell this changes everything. "mom, what are we going to do? how are we going to let Maya know about us?"mom just looked at so calmly as she always does and says " i will take care of that you two, Amanda dear why dont you have Maya have dinner with us friday night at the restaurant and i will take it from there." Well this is going to be fun, i said to myself...
