THE FIRST YEAR OF LIVING WITHOUT POWERS REQUIRED... ADJUSTMENTS. Especially for someone like Ariya.

Turns out, she was useless. Like actually. She had stability in life because of her powers, now without them she had turned into a lightweight clumsy bruised person.

Let's take this story as an example;

Right after Ariya and Ben had lost their powers, the first... okay second thing (the first being going to Ariya's apartment to look for Maya, who was alive and well for the record.) they did was get drunk. Because guess what happened after they found Amaya. Ariya saw her parents. In this world, Ariya Sharma (Sharma- Hargreeves now.) had both her parents, who loved her.

Wow that's weird.

Which is the next night, Ben and Ariya went to get drunk.

Ariya usually used to drink more than Ben, cause she couldn't get drunk back then. But now, without realising the reality, she did the same.

Which is how we know, Ariya Sharma- Hargreeves is a lightweight.

Because when a slightly tipsy Ben found his wife talking to the bartender, telling him everything... everything meaning everything about the timeline fuck up, superpowers, sparrow/ umbrella academy. Everything. Ben rushed to her trying to get her home.

"Who are you? Do not touch me! She shouted as she squinted her eyes to see who had hands on her shoulder, "I have a boyfriend you k-- I got married, oh my God where is my husband? Oh you are my husband." She paused before smiling, "Hi."

Ben chuckled before helping her get up, "Let's get you home."

"No." She shook her head.

Ben tipped the waiter, before dragging her out. The fresh air made her want to vomit for a second, before a wave of relief wash over her. "Where do you suggest we go then?"

"Anywhere else. I don't want to look at my parents right now."

"How about the academy?" He suggested.

Ariya hooked her arms with his, putting her head on his shoulder, his other hand stabling her. "No."

"Why not?"

She shrugged as she pulled herself closer to him, "cause that was home, and now everyone you knew and loved aren't there anymore."

"Love seems like an over exaggeration." Ben tried to lighten up the situation.

But got a kick in the ribs instead.

"I don't mind going to the academy." He told her, truthfully. Sure it would be weird, but at least it would get them out of the cold street.

And day by day, Ariya realised she was so used to her powers and healing she was a reckless person who didn't make the best life choices.

Every time she fell or hurt herself before she would brush it off as it healed, now she ha to face consequences. Consequences meaning pain.

By the end of the week, Ariya had been hungover, fallen multiple times leading to bruised elbows and knees, almost a sprained ankle, she also almost chopped her fingers off.

And the best (well worst for her) part, she cannot run fast.

Like at all.

Even Diego's five year old daughter can run faster than her.

So this has been Ariya's life.

Trying to adapt and live, and complain.

At least she has Ben with her right?

WRONG!

Ben decided to be over smart yet again, and decided to do dumb shit again, cause he doesn't know he only has one brain cell that barely works.

He got himself a new house. Prison. Prison is the new house, cause of the crypto scam he pulled, 3 years in prison.

Now Ariya is pissed and is living in Diego's basement, because Amaya moved away too.

Just fucking great.
