"Varian? Your highness?" Alexis asks as she and Arianna wake up and see Varian.

"Don't worry Your Majesty. You are merely bait to lure the princess here. As for you Alexis you were uncounted for complication. Only the magic of her unbreakable hair can shatter the amber and free my father. I tried asking for help in a civil manner but was denied by everyone in Corona. So unfortunately this is my only remaining recourse." Varian says.

"Oh! And after you've freed your father?" Arianna asks as Varian pulls a cover off his ambered father.

"After? Oh well I'm afraid Corona will pay for turning their backs on me. And that's when you should start worrying Your Majesty." Varian says as Alexis and Arianna give worried looks.

*Timeskip*

"Varian please. I'm only asking for a drink. As your old friend can't you just do that?" Alexis asks as she is sitting in wolf form.

"Please Varian. You two were once friends. At least don't take this out on Alexis. She's not even from the kingdom of Corona." Arianna says.

"Fine. But just to make sure you don't try to run and you don't escape. There." Varian says as he ties a rope around Arianna and ties her to a pole before tying a rope like leash around Alexis as he then takes her outside to a pond.

"Thank you." Alexis says as she drinks from the pond.

"You're welcome. I guess." Varian says.

"You guess? How's that for a friendly statement." Alexis says as she looks at Varian from the corner of her eye.

"It's not meant to be friendly. We are not friends anymore Alexis." Varian says coldly as Alexis stops drinking.

"Varian please. For everyone's sake talk to Rapunzel. I'll help you talk to her. I'm sure this can be worked out." Alexis says pleadingly.

"No! You saw my father and you seen how Rapunzel has done me. This is the only way. You know nothing of what it is like for a village boy or to lose your parents. My dad was all I have. Now this is become personal... but the queen does have a point." Varian says.

"And what's that?" Alexis asks.

"You're not from Corona. You were also the only one who would ever listen to me when I needed it. As return for that I won't make you part of my war against corona when this is all over. You can stay with me and my father. We can be friends again." Varian says as he gives a soft smile.

"Varian are you even listening to yourself? The Varian I knew was sweet and kind. Now you're a completely different person driven by rage and revenge. Please Varian listen to me." Alexis says as Varian gives an angry look.

"Why do you even care about me doing this!? You don't know what it's been like for me! You're a princess so how could you know!?" Varian shouts angrily.

"I wasn't always a princess you foolish human boy!" Alexis shouts.

"Wait. What?" Varian asks confusedly.

"Look Varian I care because you're my friend. I don't want this to go south for you. I know what it's like to be filled with hate and want revenge. I lost my parents when I was little. A wolf killed them because of my differences. I hate myself for what I am. It's why I was happy to be your friend. You didn't look at me like others have. You've been a true friend to me. I care about you a lot. Please. Don't do this. We can find another way. I give you my word as a wolf that I'll help you free your dad. I don't want to see you end up in the same boat I was in for the longest time. I know it hurts but this isn't the way. You're putting innocent lives in danger Varian. Do you even realize that?" Alexis asks pleadingly.
