January 20, 2023 Seoul, South Korea.

"Is that pink or coral?" Jungwon asked mocking the new staff. She was a new assistant, and she and Jungwon seem to be hitting it off well. "I think you don't know your colors." Ria, the assistant told him. I cleared my throat and stood in front of them. "Taeho says we should pay." I said with a fake smile on my face. We were currently on a store buying things for Lunar/Chinese New Year.

"Yeah we're coming, just let us understand if this is pink or coral. Right Ria?" Jungwon laughed. "Don't make me look bad, I'm not that picky with colors." Ria said smiling. "Clearly you're not picky with men either." I mumbled so they couldn't understand. "What?" "That I surely didn't thought so." I said and left.

"Are you okay?" Dara asked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I asked. "Well, Jungwon it's getting really close with Ria, and you don't seem so happy about it." She said. "What are you saying? Whatever Jungwon does, doesn't even affect me. I'm chill about Jungw-"

"Whoever gets into the cashier first wins!" Ria shouted and ran right in front of me. Then Jungwon ran past me too. "She shouldn't even do that." Iseul said joining us. "Whatever it is I don't care." I said. "I don't think your squishy would agree." Dara said and we all looked at the squishy I was grabbing tightly. "This doesn't mean anything."

"Guys!" I said. We were currently in the van going home. "Yeah?" Heeseung asked. "Can you all come to the recording of the cover this Wednesday?" I asked. "What cover?" Jungwon asked laughing. "Come on Wonie, even I know of it." Ria said. "Yes Wonie, even she knows." I said with another fake smile.

"Since when are you doing a cover?" He asked confusedly. "Since like a month ago. It's the only thing I've been talking about." I said. "Well, I guess I didn't pay attention." Jungwon said. "And, what's the song?" He asked. "Well that's the only thing I don't know. I've been preparing 2." I said.

"And she's really great, I've been on the rehearsals." Ria said. "Not because I wanted." I mumbled, so they didn't understand this either. "What?" Ria asked smiling. "Nothing, just that the rehearsals have been going smoothly."

"Do you like Jungwon?" Heeseung asked as I was laying down on my bed. "Me? Noooooo! Why would you think that." My voice going an octave higher. "Well, you don't seem to really like Ria, and Jungwon's relationship. I might even say your jealous." Heeseung said.

"Jealous? Of Jungwon? Noooo! He's just another member. A stranger that I once knew. A person in my life. People you know, to people you don't. Some dude that leaves with me. Somebody that I used to know. The leader of my band. And I could go on. Questions?" I said smiling creepily.

"A stranger that I once knew? People you know to people you don't? Somebody that I used to know? Song Hayoung, you're in love with that dude." Heeseung said. "In love? No, no, NO." I said emphasizing the last no. "I know you hate being questioned. But can you please tell me what's up with you?" Heeseung said.

"Fine, fine. I do like Jungwon, I might even say I love him. I've never felt that way for someone else. I even tried to ask him out, but I was rejected. Then I started thinking. And after deep thought, I realized that he doesn't like me back. And that date I wanted to have with him, was just a way of making him uncomfortable. But I didn't know that. And now, he's being happy with Ria. And they're probably meant to be, and for me. There will always be someone out there that I don't know about yet." I said with my head hanging low.

"Oh my God! You've never talked this way. You must be really in love. OMG you're in love with Jungwon! I knew it! I knew it!" "Shhhhhh! Keep it down!" I said. "Sorry, but Hayley... Come on, that boy loves you. If he loves someone in this earth, it's you. The way he talks about you, how he looks at you. How his face starts to unconsciously smile when you're around. Dude he's in love with you." Heeseung said.

"I'm sorry, but I've pretty much gave up already. Also I'm too scared of actual rejection, that's why I didn't pushed it that day. There's no way we'll end up together. And that makes me sad." I said and started to cry. "Oh come here." Heeseung hugged me.

Jungwon's Pov. Hayley and him after a concert.

"Hayley..." I said trying to gain her attention. "Yeah?" She answered. "Remember on stage. When you said you were going through a though moment." I asked her. "Yeah." "You still remember when I asked you if you were on a tough moment after your meeting with Daniel?" "Yep, I remember that too."

"So is it still true?" I asked her. "I guess so. There are things that I still have to get over of. Things that will take a lot of time to heal, but I think I'm on the right way." "And, if someone like, maybe Haruto, came over to you and asked you out. Would you do it?" I asked. "No, not right now." She answered. "Good." "Why?" "Just curious." I said.

The day Hayley asked him out.

"Hey there!" "Oh! You scared me." I said as Hayley entered the room. "I'm sorry." She said. "What's up?" I asked. "Uhm... so... I" She started stuttering on her words. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah, I... I want to ask you something." She said.

"Yeah tell me." I said. "So... I... I've... I've got tickets for a movie. And... I was wondering, if you wanted to come with me." She finally told me. I was about to say yes. But... this might work like a date, and I don't want to get my hopes up when she probably isn't in the right time to date. Our timing should be right.

"I'll have to check." I quickly started to make an excuse. "Oh... okay." She said. "Don't get me wrong, but, you know my schedule has been jam packed with practice." I tried to explain. "Well, mine too, but I thought we could use it as a time off. But don't worry, I'll just ask Dara or something." She said and went to the room. "I'm sorry. But I'm not committing the same mistakes they did." I said to myself.

When Ria got there.

"Hi, I'm Ria the new assistant." A girl said entering our practice room. "If you ever need anything, just ask." She said smiling. "Okay noona." I said, even though she looked our age. "Oh! Don't worry. You guys are around my age don't use honorifics." She said. "How much? I don't know if I'd be comfortable." Jungwon said. "I'm an 03, of December. We're really close in age Jungwon." She said. "Okay Ria."

Hanging out with Ria.

"Hey Ria! I'm texting because, I was free, more like I couldn't find Hayley, and I was wandering if you wanted to hang out." I texted her. "Yeah, just wait until I'm done with a rehearsal. (A/N: it was Hayley's you guessed.) "Okay."

"This is pink." I said. "No, that's coral you silly." Ria said to me. We were looking at the Pantone on a store. Turns out she really likes painting. "You should learn your colors Jungwon." Ria said as she ruffled my hair. When she did that, I suddenly remembered Hayley. Why? I don't know.

I guess yes, she had done that before, but mostly all my members have done it, and I'm only thinking bout Hayley...

i won't make you all wait anymore, i promise. just let me find the best way for them to confess to each other. i always knew what was the way i wanted my story to go. i just never knew how to write it. from this 2 months i've been writing it, i've looked for confession prompts like 30 times. i think i already found the one though.

either way of how this story turns out tho, i want to share with you guys that i'll publish my new story very soon. it's a stray kids fanfic and i've been thinking writing some chapters. also, if you're a spanish reader, i have translated the fic into spanish too! they're both going to be found in my profile as "sparks fly".
