Chapter Twelve

Ⓣori now had small patches of hair after weeks passing by. It was soft and smooth like a newborn babies first set of locks.

"Will you still love me with hair?" She asked Daniel staring at herself in the mirror.

"Of course cupcake." He kissed the top of her head.

"Promise?" she joked.

"Victoria." he sighed.

"Just promise me." she laughed.

"I promise."

She walked away from the mirror, "hopefully I can go home soon, this is a good sign chemo is working, I think they were talking about remission."

She pulled her I hate Monday's nightgown over her head, revealing her matching black bra and pantie set, she felt very comfortable around Daniel, although they hadn't even seen each other fully naked.

Victoria pulled a Vineyard Vine fleece over head, and wiggled into a pair of leggings that were slowly becoming to big.

"What have you eaten today?" Daniel asked noticing her pants.

"Um, not much, I had a fruitcup"

"I'm getting you lunch today."

"Doesn't matter, I'll likely just throw it up."

"Hmmm..." he pondered what she had said.

"Actually you aren't, Sam, Caroline, my parents and I are going to eat in a la cafetería hospitaliá." Victoria laughed.

"Babe you just combined like three different languages."

"Oh, whoops! I am only fluent in two languages, English and Swedish."

"Oooo you're bilingual. How sexy." he joked.

"Well my grandparents are full bred Sweds..."

"Tori, it's Swedish."

"Shut up."

"Seduce me in Swedish."

"Du är ful..um, ha, jag hatar dig." Tori grinned.

"Did you just call me a Bitch?"

"Ha, no. Of course not." She kissed him.

He pulled her in close, their kiss got interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Well good morning love birds." Caroline grinned.

"Yuck." Samantha smiled.

"We decided to take you to brunch, I see Daniel is here, would you care to join us?"

"I'd love too."

"Alright Caro, I didn't know you were coming so soon, so let me do my make up."

It was still weird for her to have no hair to put into its once long ponytail form.

Tori fixed her face up before heading down to the cafeteria, her parents, and her brother were sitting waiting at a table.

"This is nice, everyone being here." Her mother smiled.

"Yes, it is." her father chimed in.

They all sat at the mini restaurant that was located in the hospital. This was the family's first time meeting Daniel all together. As they all talked, Pipers mom spotted them out of the corner of her eye.
