Ⓣhree weeks had passed since Pipers death, and today was the day they were letting Victoria finally go home.
"So, it looks like you're in the clear to go home." Dr. Klein smiled.
"Really?"
"Yes, all you numbers are exactly where I'd like them, you're free Tori. I still want you to take it easy."
Meaning she wasn't fully in remission, but their was no current signs of her cancer progressing.
"Of course we will make sure of that." her father chimed in.
"I will still be able to visit Daniel right?"
"If his parents allow you onto his visitors list, of course."
Her mother was folding up all of her stuff, and taking down all the wall items that she had put up, it was nice to finally be able to go.
"I bought you this as a going home outfit." her mother handed her a bag.
Tori smiled looking inside of the bag, "Mom! You didn't have too."
"Just go put it on Victoria."
She squeeled running into the bathroom.
"So," Dr. Klein said "she should be able to go back to school right away, tomorrow even if she's ready."
"That's amazing." Mrs. Fitzgerald hugged her husband.
"Alright, well that's all the news I have for you all."
"Thank you so much." Mr. Fitzgerald shook Dr. Klein hand.
"My pleasure."
"Kath, I'm going to start loading things into the car."
She nodded.
Victoria came out of the bathroom, wearing a blue dress with white palm tree leaf print. She spun around showing off her white lug sole platform sandals.
"My daughter is so beautiful."
"Mom.."
They both hugged each other. Daniel stood at the doorway.
"Hey." she said letting go of her mom.
"Well, I'll let you too say goodbye, meet me in the lobby Victoria."
Her mom left.
"I'm going to miss you." Victoria said walking towards him.
"Oh yeah?" he walked up her.
"Yeah.." she said softly putting her arms around him placing her head on his chest.
"Hey! no crying. I love you, and that'll never change."
"I know, I love you too but this'll be different."
"Different can be good peanut, we literally spend every day with each other, and you get to see your frien...well make new ones."
"Yeah, but I'll miss you." Tori hung off of him like a monkey.
"Victoria, are you ready?" her mom called.
"Ready as I'll ever be," she turned to look at Daniel, "I love you. Don't forget that."
"I won't, now go." he kissed her.
Victoria left with her parents, going outside for the first time in months. It felt nice to her to actually be in a car, when they pulled into the driveway their were balloons everywhere, saying welcome home Tori.
