Chapter Sixteen

Ⓗalfway through the school day - Victoria almost started to have a panic attack. She hadn't heard from Daniel, she missed him so much.

During lunch Larkin noticed that Tori kept checking her phone.

"Dude are you okay?"

"Yeah. Definitely."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm fine." Tori got up once again from the lunch table, this time Larkin didn't follow. She pulled out her phone deciding to call Daniel herself, no answer.

"Hi love, its me. I've been trying to reach you, I would at least like to know that you're okay, please please call me."

She hung up the phone, during her last period history her phone buzzed it was Daniel.

hey babe - all is well, i've just been very tired, call me when you get home. love u.

She smiled slipping her phone into her bag. When school was over, Larkin caught up to her.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry I snapped." They walked with each other to the parking lot.

"No. No. I get it. Have you talked to Austin?"

"Ha! things tend to be very awkward between the both of us."

"Understandable."

"Yeah! I'm sorry, I have to go, I'll text you Larkin."

She nodded, frowning walking towards her own car.

Tori got into her car and started jamming out to Where Are Ü Now the new Justin Bieber song. She stuck her arm out the window to feel the breeze.

Pulling into the nearest McDonalds, she got herself a Mango smoothie, sitting at the exit she called Daniel.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I miss you, is it okay if I come and see you."

"Yeah, I'm not really doing much except tossing around a hackie sack."

"Alright, I'm on my way, I'll see you soon."

"Love you."

"Love you too."

She hung up, making a left turn heading towards the hospital. It felt weird being back, and not for a medical reason, she stepped out of the car, grabbing her backpack. She locked her car doors, walking in.

"Hi, I'm here to see Daniel Hendricks."

"Alright, have you visited before?"

"No I haven't."

"One moment please."

The women started to type away at her computer, making really annoying noises as she type quickly.

What nonsense could she be looking up anyways, Tori thought.

"Alright first and last name."

"Victoria Fitzgerald."

"Can you spell your last name for me?"

"Sure. F-I-T-Z-G-E-R-A-L-D"

"Thank you." She started clacking away at her computer again, "Alright please grab that name badge that's being printed, he's on the third floor, room A39"

Tori nodded, getting on the elevator, she didn't need to ask for directions she headed straight to Daniels room.

"Babeeeee," Tori squealed trampling him as she jumped into his bed, "I missed you so much." she kissed him sitting up crossing her legs, he sat up as well.
