"I said, what did you do, Steven?" Rafael roared."I didn't do anything!" Steven yelled back.Rafael ignored Steven, and knelt down on the cold ground next to Olivia. "Liv, try not to move." The pain on Olivia's face was clear, and his heart broke for her. "Don't worry, I'm going to get you help." Rafael glanced up at Steven. "You stay away from her.""Rafa." Olivia called in almost a whisper.
I don't care if I am on vacation, by the end of today, you would be in a jail cell with charges against you!" Rafael continued."Rafa"—.
"I didn't do anything!" Steven repeated. "She just needs a minute, she'll be fine."
"Really? She looks fine to you!" Rafael yelled. "How dare you?"""Rafa" Olivia called again."You're disgusting—" Rafael said.
"Rafa, he didn't hit me", Olivia said, loudly,
"What?""He didn't hit me. I fell on the ice. " Olivia tried to get up. Ow!" She screamed."Liv, stay still." Barba said. "Where are you hurt, do you know?""I hurt my ankle... the one I already injured.""Did you hit your head?""No." Olivia answered truthfully."Are you sure?"""Yes, I'm sure, I didn't hurt my head. My ankle... it... it really... hurts.""You'll be fine, Olivia. You just need a few minutes." Steven said. Rafael looked at him, and rolled his eyes at the ridiculousness of Steven's words. "You owe me an apology Rafael.""I thought you hit her, I'm sorry." Steven didn't respond. Rafael stood up from the ground, and Olivia felt overwhelming sadness that brought tears to her eyes. She would not let them flow. She would just sit alone on the cold ground, and wait for her ankle to stop throbbing.
"Steven, did you see if Olivia hit her head?" Rafael asked."I saw her slip, she fell nowhere near her head." Steven answered. Olivia's ankle was throbbing so much now that it was becoming hard to concentrate on the conversation. Suddenly, Olivia felt herself being lifted off the ground."What... What are you doing?" She asked, feeling Rafael's arms holding her securely
"I'm taking you to the ER." Rafael answered."No, I... I... I can't go to the hospital. Noah is—""Noah is with the Garlands. You trust them." Rafael said."I'm not going.""Yes, you are," He said as his feet moved them away from the ski lodge. He got her to his rental car, and settled her inside it, before closing the door. He walked to the driver's side, and opened the door."I'm not going." She insisted when she saw his face. Without a word Rafael entered the car, and turned on the engine."Yes, you are." He said, as he drove."My son—""Noah is OK, Liv. I'm worried about you. We'll call the Garlands right now. I need you to stop being stubborn, just for now."
