Rin Matsuoka

Your P.O.V:

I saw a beautiful, shiny pool in front of me. The sun rays were shining on it, making little sparkles. My eyes sparkled with the water.

"So pretty," I whispered. I then saw a young man practicing freestyle. I saw some red hair covered by his swimming cap. I also noticed that when he turned his head out of the water for small, quick breaths, he had sharp teeth, almost like a shark.

"That's Rin," Sousuke walks over to the diving boards. "Rin Matsuoka."

Kisumi and I followed Sousuke. I thought he was gonna say more, but he didn't.

"Oi, Sousuke," Rin hops out of the pool. "And Kisumi, and...," He pauses. "Do I know you?" He raises his thin, red eyebrows.

I smiled, about to say something, but Kisumi barged in for me and said, "She's my girlfriend, Y/N! She was dying to meet you!" He grins and looks at me for a second, then looks back at Rin.

I cross my arms and shake my head. "No, he's--"

Again, Kisumi places his hand over my mouth and whispers, "Stop, just roll with it." He then takes his hands off my strawberry-lipstick scented lips. Hope I didn't get some on his hand. Egh...?

"Girlfriend? Interesting, Kisumi..." Rin smirks and takes off his cap, and shakes his head, taking out some water out of his hair. "Want to take a swim? There's a swimsuit in the locker rooms, I could get one for you." He points to the girls locker room.

I nod and smile. I always wanted to try to swim. Last time I swam, was in elementary school when I was in Florida, swimming at the beach. I got bit by a fish, and I thought that was the last time I ever wanted to swim again.

"Okay, I'll be right back!" Rin runs into the locker rooms. I felt like it was weird, since a boy going into a girls-only place.

I saw Rin with a one-piece girl swimsuit. I smiled and gently grabbed it from him as he handed it to me. "Thank you," I head to the girls locker room to change. I return back to the pool five minutes later.

"You look good," Kisumi smiles with a pink blush on his cheeks. I blush with him, but I don't say anything back.

I put on a swimming cap that Rin gave me.

"Go ahead. Jump in." Rin takes me to a diving board. I stand on top of it and make a ready stance to jump in.

"Ready," Rin smirks, "set," He blows a whistle loud, but it sorta scares me. "Go!" He yells. I jump into the water. I paddle my feet, making small splashes behind me.

I turn my head to the right for a small breath, then turn my head back down to the water. I extend my arms for reaching the water, and pull.

Reach, pull, reach, pull, reach, pull...

I flip underwater and kick the wall, giving me a boost to swim back to my starting place. I reach and pull, like casually. I keep paddling, making more splashes behind me. I turn my head to the right again for another breath. I slap my hand on the wall as soon as I finish my lap.

"Two minutes and seventeen seconds. Interesting. You should try out for the girls swim team. Should fit you." Rin pulls me out. I smile, but see that Kisumi is frowning. It must be that Rin helped me out of the pool. What's wrong with that? Was Kisumi jealous...?

"Gotta go, guys." Kisumi says as he walks to the door. "I have to pick up my little brother from swimming lessons. See ya!" He waves bye to Sousuke and Rin, but he beckons me to come with him. I nod slightly and follow him out of the academy.

"Kisumi, I saw you frowning when Rin pulled me out of the pool," I looked at Kisumi, as we walked to the ITSC Returns, where Hayato has his swim lessons.

"Oh, you must've saw things." Kisumi laughs nervously, but I can tell that he is lying. I am a very good lie-senserer.

Is that even a word?

I frowned and said, "I know you are lying, Shigino-kun! Tell me the truth."

"I'm not lying about anything," He says and rubs the back of his head. "Um, your house is close, so you can walk home. I'm gonna pick up Hayato. See you tomorrow!" He runs off, not waving or anything as a goodbye gesture.

I clench my fists, but eventually release my anger. Why was Kisumi avoiding me? Something's wrong,

WAIT.

Could... Kisumi like me...?
