The word of fast cars and money was hard to infiltrate but once you have, it's hard to get out. Jeon Jungkook knows this first hand and yet he can't stop himself from wanting Lee Aerin to be in it with him.

As lovely as Aerin's family home was, she spent very little time there. Ever since she received her 3.8 million dollar apartment for her birthday, she's barely home. What was the point in going there if all her family was going to do was complain about something? Like today, there were mad Aerin didn't go to dinner a few days ago. If only they knew she spent her time with a certain tatted street racer.
"The dinner had been scheduled for days. Do you know how embarrassing it was to admit that we had no idea where you were? Jisoo looked completely let down," her mother said as Aerin scrolled endlessly through her Instagram. There wasn't much to look at considering she only followed thirty people. When you have as much money as the Lee's, you tend to try and keep low profile so her account was private. She was barely listening to whatever thing she was being lectured about in the moment.
It's been days since the night and Jungkook has yet to contact her. She's not waiting around for him but it was something she noticed. She gave her mother a small shrug of her shoulders, "You could've just told them I ditched dinner."
"Jisoo tries very hard for you and it's like you don't even care."
Her phone dinged, as if he heard her thoughts from wherever he was.
xxx-xxx-xxxx: it's Jungkook
xxx-xxx-xxxx: do u have time to talk?
"That's because I don't care," Aerin responded, "We were great friends before you all had to ruin it."
"Sorry we're looking at your future. If you didn't spend all your time skipping class to shop then maybe we wouldn't have to worry about that," her mother said as she sat across from her. The two were in the sunroom having tea even though Aerin hadn't even touched her own drink. She was too busy on her phone staring at the notification of Jungkook's text. She wasn't going to respond just yet.
"Besides, Jisoo comes from a prominent family, you've been friends since you were in diapers. Who else would be better fo—"
"Hello?" Aerin didn't answer the phone until at least three rings but it didn't matter. Jungkook was fine with the short wait, a smile came to his face, "Hey, do you have time to talk?"
"I'm sorry, who is this?" Aerin was half-joking. Normally, she'd make them wait a little longer to wonder if she would even entertain them with her attention but it was just too perfect of a time. If it meant getting her mom to stop talking that is.
Jungkook chucked softly as he took the clipboard from Yuna as she stared at him in confusion over who he was on the phone with, "Now that hurt my feelings, am I that forgettable?"
"I mean it has been days, maybe you need to refresh my memory a little," Aerin said as some house staff came with more pastries for her and her mom. Her mother looked displeased to be left there while Aerin spoke on the phone and that seemed to make Aerin all the more excited to talk on the phone.
