Jungkook couldn't deny that he felt more at ease when he was at his car meets. It's more relaxing knowing all he really needs to think about is winning the race. He doesn't have to think about other things and it's almost serene aside from the loud music, people talking, and the sound of cars showing off what they got. It works to clear his mind even if it is clearly a bustling environment.
When he arrived at the scene everyone was quick to swarm his car but it wasn't anything he wasn't used to. He knew a few of the people who came up to him but the rest were mostly just fans. If Aerin were here she'd probably be pissed off about the girls in bikini tops and mini skirts trying to flirt with him even if he was paying them no mind anyway. A little away from the group that surrounded him, he can see Jung Hoseok.
They never talked much but the night with Jisoo might've changed things because he gave Jungkook a small wave and it felt a little good. Maybe Aerin wasn't planning on leaving him if her friends still acted the same with him, either that or she doesn't update anyone on what's going on in her life. He's really hoping it's the former.
"I've got the first race of the night," Jungkook said confidently as the one in charge of holding the money for bets came up to him. He noticed the wads of cash in his hand along with a pink slip belonging to a 2005 Dodge Charger Hellcat and he smirked. Whoever was betting a car like that has clearly never raced against him.
"Where's that girl you always bring?" Some random guy asked him as he was getting into his Mitsubishi. Jungkook looked at him trying to figure out what to say but in the end he just shrugged and ignored the question.
After the first race he had won slips to a new car that was already being towed away to the warehouse for him to add new NOS tanks after the guy completely wrecked his trying to beat Jungkook. The Kim brothers didn't come out tonight but that didn't bother him one bit, if anything it made him feel more at ease.
The only problem is that he still can't stop thinking about Aerin. He's never felt this crazy over someone and honestly, how many boyfriends really spend all their time thinking about their girl when they're off doing their own thing? Not many and yet he's become the kind of guy who rather be with his girlfriend than do something he loves without her around.
He just knows he's fucked it up for himself if she's yet to talk to him since she kicked him out.
When Aerin's Uber dropped her off about a block away from where she knew Jungkook would be, she realized that she had absolutely no idea what she had in mind. She's tried to think this over but she can't. She can't even fully process whatever she just learned because none of it makes sense.
Jungkook lied to her. He acted like he was opening up to her only to still keep things from her. Wasn't he the one who flipped out on her for keeping things from him?
