"Jungkook."
He let a small groan slip from his lips as he rolled onto his side reaching for her and dragging her closer. Aerin released a light whine, "Jungkook."
"Just a little longer, for some reason your bed is so comfortable," Jungkook said with a smile as he practically clung to her side, "Why are you up so early?"
"I got a call," Aerin said as she made herself comfortable on in his arms again, "I'm going out tonight."
Jungkook didn't say anything for a moment as he tried to wait and see if she'd tell him more. When she didn't he pushed himself to ask, "What are you doing?"
With a tired sigh, she turned to face him before rolling onto his chest with her head against him as he brought a hand up to run through her hair. Aerin looked at him in thought, "There's this banquet I have to go to for the museum that my parents are going to open. It's this huge promo basically for investors to see what is coming and then the money basically funds new art pieces."
"Sounds boring," Jungkook said with a teasing smile as he leaned his face close enough to give her a little kiss. Aerin smiled into it, "It is but that's not why I'm telling you."
His smile dropped, "Then why?"
"My parents RSVPd for me already with Jisoo and it's gonna be in the press so I can't really miss it. I won't hear the end of it if I do," she told him.
He took a deep breath as he let her words sink in.
"But we're dating, right?" Jungkook asked and in fear that another argument will come she nodded her head yes. He began running his fingers through her hair again, "Then alright..."
"Really?"
"I feel like I don't have much of a say but I just... I mean, things will change right? It won't always be you sleeping in bed with me then publicly going out with that guy, right?" He asked and he could practically see the stress in her eyes. It was clear she didn't like this situation either but she's also never been in it.
Aerin's usual flings were never more than just that; a short moment of fun for her. If she's serious about dating Jungkook then she has to work out a solution because it isn't fair to him at all. She let her head fall against his chest once more, "I'll tell them the truth, I just need time. I can't just out of no where bring up the fact that I'm seeing you."
She didn't have the heart to tell him that her parents were classist. Even if all they knew was that Jungkook worked as a mechanic, it's not something they'd consider good enough. She was already the problem child and she's no stranger to disappointing them but she had absolutely no doubt that they would do everything they can to drive Jungkook away.
She can try and tell Jisoo but then she risks him running to her parents like the spoiled brat he is.
"I promise it won't always be like this," Aerin said.
