Chapter 11: Taken

(Y/N)'s POV

I was playing chess with my mother.

Mom: Soooo... What happened?

(Y/N): Hm?

Mom: Did you confess to her?

(Y/N): Kinda. Actually she confessed to me.

I saw stars in her eyes. She hugged me.

Mom: My baby has girlfriend!

(Y/N): Heh, yeah.

Mom: Do you know how to handle a relationship? That's your first, right?

(Y/N): Well...

Mom: Well?

(Y/N): I used to have another girlfriend. We were together for quite some time. I even wanted to propose to her.

Mom: What happened then?

(Y/N): I caught her cheating on me.

I clenched my fist.

(Y/N): She was looking me in the eyes while doing it.

Mom: I'm sorry you had to go through this.

I didn't say anything.

(Y/N): After that, she found out that the guy she was cheating on me with had cheated on her and wanted for us to get back together. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. My heart was shattered. I know you might say something like that i was selfish and didn't think about her feelings, but i made the right choice.

Mom didn't answer. I heard banging on the door.

Mom: Who could it be at this hour?

(Y/N): I'll get it.

I went to open the door.

(Y/N)'s mind: I swear if it's another preacher or salesman i'll-

I opened the door. In front of me stood Lazarus. He was bruised, bleeding and barely standing. My eyes widened.

(Y/N): Lazarus! What happened?!

Lazarus: (Y/N)... help... save... Ella...

He fell unconscious. Mom came to me.

Mom: Oh my God! Get him inside!

I did as she said.

Small timeskip

Lazarus' POV

I woke up in a bed. I saw (Y/N) sitting on the bed next to me. He noticed that i woke up and came to me.

(Y/N): Laz, what happened? Who did this to you?

Lazarus: Wha-?

I saw my body wrapped in bandages. I remembered what happened.

Lazarus: Oh no...

I stood up and started to panic.

Lazarus: (Y/N)! We need to save her! We need to save my sister!

(Y/N): What are you talking about?

Lazarus: Some people have taken Ella!

(Y/N): C-Calm down, Laz. Tell me what happened.

I calmed down a little.

Lazarus: *Sigh* Here's what i remember.

Flashback

Ella opened the door.

Ella: Oh, it's you. We haven't actually met yet, right? I'm Ella.

I didn't hear any conversation after that, so i went to check on her. I turned around the corner and saw a girl with a long black hair, leather jacket and a tank top. She was dragging unconcious Ella out. I ran towards her and prepared to punch her, but she dodged my attack. She pulled out a knife and slashed my arm. I started bleeding.
