Omega tried not to fall as she walked across the balance beam to see if gymnastics was her talent. But when she slipped and landed on a pillow... it turned out she needed practice.
"Okay, so gymnastics didn't exactly come naturally." Boba said, helping his sister up. "But that's okay. Maybe you're good at something else."
"I still wanna learn to cheerlead, though. It looks like fun." Omega said.
Suddenly, the kids saw a big sparkly beating heart forming in the room.
"What's that?" said Omega.
"Hey, when a heart like that appears, it usually means-"
And out from the heart with a happy whinny jumped a certain pink-coated, blue-maned alicorn with the sparkling shooting star mark.
"Estrella?!" Omega exclaimed happily.
"Hello, Omega." smiled Estrella.
Omega hugged Estrella and laughed when the equine started licking her.
"I missed you." said Omega.
"I missed you too, Omega." Estrella said. "You can't imagine my delight when Queen Reigna said the Equinary matched us together."
Omega then noticed the bottle around Estrella's neck.
"What's that?" the human girl asked.
"A message for your parents. Where are they?"
"They're running a few errands today." Boba said. "They said they'd be back before dinner."
Anakin affectionately rubbed his wife's stomach as they left the adoption center, and the couple was so glad they would finally be returning home to be with their kids.
They already met with a social worker, who promised to conduct an inspection of their home and then interview the family once they got all the necessary information on the child in question. Their anniversary ball was set to go on as scheduled, as well as Boba's, now his and Omega's, birthday ball. And earlier today, they'd received amazing news during their doctor's appointment.
"Think we should tell the kids tonight?" Anakin asked his wife.
Padme chuckled and said, "No... I think it'd be better to surprise everyone."
Anakin kissed his wife's cheek. "They're gonna be as happy as we are when delivery day comes."
And when the couple arrived back home, they looked among the children playing until they were called to get their supper. But, they didn't see Gabby, Boba, or Omega anywhere.
"Anybody know where our kids are?" Anakin called.
"They're probably still out back with the other ponies." said Crescent, standing at the table beside Lamenta.
Anakin helped his wife sit down and then went to go fetch the kids.
"You go, Gabby!" Boba cheered, watching his youngest sister do tricks with Carousella.
"She's amazing!" Omega gasped.
Gabby just performed a stunt where she feigned fainting, but hung by one leg on the saddle as Carousella ran.
Anakin gasped when he saw Gabby do a backflip on Carousella, but was relieved to see she was fine. He chuckled at himself. Suddenly, he wondered if this was how Obi-Wan felt while training him sometimes... or all the time.
Gabby eventually sat back down on the saddle and stopped Carousella by her siblings.
"It takes a lot of practice to arabesque on a horse when it's not moving." Gabby said. "And even more practice and skill to do full-on gymnastics on a moving equine."
