Rosella cried and squirmed as Grievous brought her on board a ship. She called for her parents desperately.

"My patience is running thin with you, little brat." Grievous growled, holding the girl to his face.

That only made Rosella's crying worse.

Grievous contacted Count Dooku to let him know he found a perfect little "tool" for them.

"The Jedi have a magic little girl," said Grievous, holding up Rosella for Dooku to view. "Now the Separatists have one."

"And what is her power, precisely?" Dooku asked.

"Her voice holds much to be desired. All we have to do is make her use it."

Bruno, Mirabel, Mila, Camilo, and Pedro all found themselves landing in a pile on board an entire place made of metal. But the kids all piled on top of Bruno.

"Ay. Get off!" Bruno said. "Can't... breathe!"

"Sorry, Papi." Mila said as she and her cousins helped each other up.

"Mira! It's that monster!" Camilo exclaimed, pointing at Grievous.

"And he has Rosella!" Mirabel said.

Grievous saw the Madrigals and immediately called for backup while he fled to an escape pod.

However, the Madrigals had no clue what was happening. Until they heard metal sounds coming from behind them.

"Blast them!" said a battle droid, and the droids started blasting, but the family took evasive maneuvers, just barely avoiding getting shot. Mirabel picked up Pedro and ran with him.

Mila quickly began using her telekinesis to fight the droids. Chicka mostly barked and growled.

"A Jedi!" said one droid.

"That's the strangest looking Jedi I've ever seen." said another.

The battle droids eyed Mila's green lab coat and different-looking clothes. On all the planets they'd ever traveled to, they'd never seen garments like the Madrigals' before.

"If you think you're going to get away with kidnapping my little sister, you've got another thing coming!" Mila said angrily, swiping a blaster.

Mila took a quick, but close look at the blaster; it didn't look that much different from the weapon she'd invented. So, she aimed and blasted some of the droids while the rest of the family tried to get Rosella. However, Grievous ran right to another ship and strapped Rosella in, boarded the ship, and took off.

"PAPI!" Echoed Rosella's cry of dismay.

"He's getting away!" Bruno exclaimed.

"Not for long, he's not." said Mila, pointing something out. "Look. There's another thing like what he just flew out on."

"But we don't know how it works." Camilo said.

"Well, we'll just have to figure it out." Mila ducked and shot another droid. "It's not like we have any better choices."

And Mila, as usual, was right. And outside, there were more ships blasting at the one they were on.

"Call me crazy, but I think we just landed in the middle of a battle!"

"RUN!" Mirabel shouted.

The Madrigals ran as fast as they could to get to the other ship. Luckily for them, it was open and empty.

But when they entered...

"Whoa..."

That was the only thing that many of them could say.

"Look at all this stuff." Mila said, staring in awe at the advanced technology.

This looked like a miracle to Mila. She'd never seen tech like this before. It all looked so advanced, and closer to a level that would be more of a challenge for her. If they weren't in danger right now, Mila would be ecstatic to experiment with all this new tech and create an infinity of new inventions.

"How do we get this thing to move?" Camilo asked, looking at all the buttons and switches.

"No problema," said Mila. "This is like my inventions, just without all the gears and pulleys I'm used to working with."

Mila sat in the pilot's seat and pressed a button. It closed the door.

"Okay, that one works the door." Mila then looked in front of the chair where she sat. "This must be to steer, but I don't see any pedals to push."

"Maybe one of these buttons or switches makes it move."

Mila then found some safety belts and buckled herself in.

"Okay. Everyone, get into a chair and strap in. This might be a bumpy ride... once we get into the air."

Mila pressed a few buttons and switches until she heard the ship make the same sounds as the one Grievous exited on.

"Sounds like it's working." Bruno said. "But, Mija. Are you sure you know what you're doing? Maybe there's a book here that can teach you how to work it properly."

"Find anything in any of the compartments, Camilo?" Mila asked.

"Nada." Camilo shook his head.

So, Mila got the ship up as best she could, steering as steadily as she could.

"Wow, you're getting the hang of this quickly." Mirabel said, impressed when Mila managed to steer the ship to an exit.

Mila steered the ship until they were out in space in the stars.

"We're... in the sky? And it's night?" Pedro said.

"Sure looks like it." Mila said. Then she eyed another switch. "Hmm. I wonder what this one does."

Mila pulled the switch slowly, but then...

The Madrigals found themselves yanked back into their seats as the stars seemed to zip right past them in a colorful plethora of light, and the ship took off at light speed, taking them to who-knows-where.
