When you got to the training ground in the morning you changed straight into your swim shorts and sports bra and head straight to the pool. Lotte and Katie were already in there.
"Hey you, how's the ribs?" Katie asked.
"Honestly, so sore, I could barely sleep properly." You wince pulling on your bandages to make sure they were secure.
"You hit the post so hard I thought you were going to break the post." Laughed Lotte.
"I'm surprised it didn't to be honest." You laughed lightly, trying not to let it pain you.
"She did get a red." Katie laughed, bobbing up and down in the water.
"Good, matched the blood coming from my face from her boot." You stroked your nose lightly.
Lotte and Katie laughed. Your eyes diverted as you saw Leah walking in. Your eyes washed over her. She was wearing a white sports bra and her black training shorts. Your eyes lingered on her toned stomach for a little too long and you averted your gaze quickly as she began to look in your direction. Katie and Lotte noticed.
"You two finally getting along?" Whispered Katie.
You nodded.
"Were you just checking her out?" Lotte teased quietly as the blonde approached the pool.
"No, shut up." You instinctively splashed at Lotte, getting both her and Katie and Leah who was just lowering herself into the water.
"Steady on, I've only just woken up." Leah laughed, wading her way over.
You felt your cheeks go red and she approached you.
"Sorry, Lotte's fault." You stuck your tongue out at Lotte and she laughed sticking her middle finger up in jest.
"Come on then, what have a I missed?" Leah asked.
You shot a look at Katie and Lotte.
"Oh, I was just saying about that girl getting a red after what she did." Katie said quickly.
"I think something worse should've come of that, that's the most horrendous thing I've ever seen." Lotte grimaced.
Leah laughed and everyone look at her.
"Funny you say that, I walked past her car on the way to mine yesterday and once I got to mine I realised my key was sticking out my pocket the whole time." Leah continued laughing.
You, Katie and Lotte stared at Leah with your mouths wide open.
"You-you keyed her car?" Katie managed to get out.
"Yeah but don't tell anyone else." Leah smirked.
"How did you know it was her car?" Lotte asked, still gobsmacked.
"She had a private reg." Leah said boldly.
You started cracking up.
"You absolute savage." You laughed, Katie and Lotte finally seeing the funny side. Leah winked at you and smiled proudly. Your stomach somersaulting at her wink.Katie and Lotte left the pool leaving you alone with Leah. She sighed and put her arms behind her leaning on the edge of the pool.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, no I'm fine. It's just really sore at the moment. Laughing hurts, sleeping hurts, walking hurts, everything hurts and it's just frustrating." You move next to her, holding the edge of the pool and letting your body float up.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could do more." Leah looked visibly upset.
"Leah, it wasn't your fault, you couldn't of prevented it. Besides you did key her car." You laughed again, you still couldn't believe she'd done that.
"I was just so angry and her car was there and I just did it without thinking." She shook her head in disbelief.
"Well, for what it's worth I appreciate it." You smile at her, she smiles back properly this time.
"Why did we go for so long without speaking? You make life a little less.. dull." Leah said deep in thought.
"Life is strange sometimes." You shrugged. Leah looked around to check nobody else was in the room.
"So, about what happened yesterday.." she paused, her eyes finding mine.
"What about it?" Your eyes were locked together, you let them dip to her lips and go back to her eyes. The butterflies in your stomach started to move.
"I-I don't know why I did it, I'm sorry." She broke the eye contact and looked down. You huffed at her words.
"Leah, are you and Jordan still a thing or no?" You ask bluntly.
"No, we ended months ago. She can't even look at me anymore." Leah shrugged.
"Then what's the problem?" You could feel yourself getting angry at her lack of emotion.
"There isn't a problem, all I'm saying is I shouldn't have kissed you. I think I must've felt vulnerable in my emotions at the time and they took over-"
"Fuck off, Leah." You started to get out of the pool.
"Wait, I didn't-"
"No, Leah. You don't just kiss someone because you're feeling a bit emotional and then go and key someone's car, do you? I was just starting to like you." You walk off towards the changing rooms leaving the blonde on her own in the pool.
"Wait! Don't go!" You hear Leah shout after you but you chose to ignore her, get changed and head home.A couple of days go by and you ignore the few texts that Leah had sent you. It was getting close to Christmas now and you'd spent the day with your family in your hometown. When you got back and made yourself comfy on the sofa you were interrupted by a knock at the door. You sigh and shuffle to the door to open it. Your eyes widen as you see the blonde defender stood there in a grey oversized hoodie and black shorts.
"Hey." She said awkwardly rubbing her neck.__________
Hello everyone, hope you're enjoying it so far, I've pre written some of this story and the next chapter contains very mature sexual content. I'd just like to say that anything I write is not written to sexualise Leah, I write because I enjoy writing and it's part of the story. Let me know in the comments if you'd rather me take out anything sexual or if you're happy to read it!
