New Years Eve rolled around quickly and you found yourself back at your house first the first time since picking up clothes on Boxing Day. You stood staring into your wardrobe deciding what outfit to wear this evening for Beth's party. You strip down and put on the lingerie that you'd yet had the confidence to put on for Leah. You put a white shirt over the top which you tucked into a pair of tight black trousers. You added a checked grey blazer to complete the look accompanied by a pair of black vans.

You throw some more underwear and clothes into your bag and get back in your car to head to Leah's. You felt somewhat nervous about tonight. As much as you wanted to enjoy it, you also wanted to enjoy Leah's company and Leah's touch, something you'd become quite accustomed to over the past couple of weeks. Tonight you had to pretend like you had no feelings towards her. Only a couple of the girls knew about the car keying incident so the fact that the two of you were speaking would be a shock to some. You tried not to overthink the situation any further as you pulled onto Leah's driveway once more.

The cold winter breeze caressed your face as you walked up the steps and opened the front door. You see Leah stood in front of the mirror in the living room putting some earrings in. You take in the sight in front of you, Leah's wearing an all green suit with a white shirt. She looks amazing.
"You know it's rude to stare." Leah smirks, seeing your reflection in the mirror.
"Not when you look so gorgeous." You say, still admiring her.
Leah finally turns around and you smirk as you watch her jaw drop.
"Damn, you look hot." Leah bit her lip as she looked you up and down.
"Now who's staring?" You tease.
"Tonight is going to be impossibly hard." Leah breathes as she approaches you. She grabs the lapels of your blazer and slams your body into hers. She begins kissing you passionately and you can't help but smile at how riled up she was already getting. The sound of a horn made you finally stop and Leah groaned.
"That'll be the taxi." She grabbed her clutch bag from the sofa and quickly ran her fingers through her hair in front of the mirror.
"Come on you, you look stunning." You smile at her from the front door.
"So do you." Leah kissed you once more before she opened the door and you both walk out to the taxi.
On the journey to Beth's house your mind went back to your thoughts from the drive to Leah's. You didn't know how to act, but you knew you had to play it cool and keep your hands to yourself. Your friends and family always said your face was very expressive so you were slightly worried that your face may give it away at some point.
"Y/N/N, we're here." Leah brings you out of your daze. Leah pays the taxi driver and you get out into the cold evening breeze.
"You go first, Le. It's cold." You usher Leah to go first as you shove your hands deep in your pockets.
"You sure?" She asks, she looks sad.
"Yeah. I'll wait until you get to the end of the road and turn and I'll start walking." You smile warily at her and comes to you for a quick peck on the lips before turning and walking down the road.
"See you there." She winked at you, making you shiver but not from the cold.
You watch Leah, she reaches the end of the road and you begin the amble the same way, your thoughts start whirling around in your brain again. Did she love you? Did she just say it spur of the moment. Did she remember saying it?

Before you knew it you were stood at the end of Beth's garden path. You take a deep breath and head to the door.
You knock loudly as you can hear loud music thumping from inside.
"Yooooooo! "Y/N!" A slightly drunk Beth opens the door and cling onto it.
"Hi, Beth! Hit the vodka already have we?" You laugh.
"Only a little bit. McCabe made me do shots when she got here and that was about half an hour ago so it's probably those." She laughed and ushered you inside.
"Drinks are in the kitchen. Grab yourself one and then come and join everyone in the living room!" Beth slurred loudly over the music.
You couldn't help but smile to yourself. You head into the kitchen to see Leah stood talking to Katie. Your breath caught in your throat as Leah's blue eyes locked with yours.
"Hi guys." You manage to get out without seeming suspicious.
"Hey, how's it going?" Katie asks, pouring you two shots and sliding them across the kitchen island to you.
"Alright, I think it's about to get a bit messy though." You laugh knocking back the two shots at the same time. Katie and Leah stand looking at you with their mouths open.
"What?" You ask.
"I've never seen anyone do that before." Leah laughs nervously.
"Saves having a burning throat twice." You laugh.
You can see by Leah's face that she's slightly impressed.
Katie looks at Leah and back at me, I immediately look away from Leah and back at the table.
"So, are you two pals now after the car keying incident." Katie asks mischievously.
I feel my cheeks burn slightly.
"Yeah. We've been texting a bit. I think we've put our differences aside." Leah said confidently. You nod in agreement. Katie narrows her eyes suspiciously.
"Okay. Well that's good! Another shot then!" Katie pours you another two and you put them to each corner of your mouth and down the two. You could feel the burn work it's way down your throat, warming you instantly.
Katie and Leah laugh again and you all go through to the living room together.
"Waheyyyy!!" Shout Caitlin, Lotte, Beth, Viv and Kim all in sync. You all laugh and sit down on the free sofa. It's not quite big enough for three people so Leah is practically sat on you. Damn, this was going to be an interesting evening.
