The trio were still trekking up the mountain. As they were trekking up though, Ori felt a presence "Do you feel that?" he mentally asked Orin "Yeah, I do." Orin replied.

It was then that the three saw a gigantic owl with its head and wings covered in stone flying through the air "Its Shriek. She hatched after the willow's death. The decay had caused the deformities around her body." Seir informed Ori and Sein "Yikes. I didn't know that the decay could do that besides corrupting." Ori said with Sein agreeing with a nod.

The trio soon reached a single tree with pink coloured leaves "This is it! The mountains peak!" Seir spoke as they approached the peak and the tree.

A light soon floated from the tree and to the trio which caught their attention "The Memory of the forest! We found it!" Sein spoke happily before the wisp merged with Seir making her glow and colour more gold "Seir! You're more gold now!" Ori told her as he was the first to notice "Just one more to go. The Heart of the forest, in Windswept wastes." Sein spoke.

Ori soon felt Shriek's presence next to them. He looked in the direction it was coming from and saw Shriek before she landed next the trio and attempted to swipe at Ori only for him jump out of the way. But thanks to Shriek's swipe the snow under the trio collapsed causing Ori and Sein to fall "ORI! SEIN!" Seir screamed as she floated down towards the spirits.

Ori and Sein landed in the snow "What happened?" Sein asked "It was Shriek. She tried to swipe at me, but I was able to jump out of the way." Ori answered his partner's question. Seir caught up to Ori and Sein "Thank the light you two are alright." she said relieved.

Seir's relief was short lived however as the sound of shifting snow was heard before the three saw an avalanche heading their way "We need to run!!" Ori yelled as he grabbed both Sein and Seir and ran down the mountain using his speed ability he gained from his and Sein's journey back in Nibel.

Ori jumped, bashed and double jumped as the avalanche was on his tail. It was then that Shriek started to swoop at Ori only for the spirit to weave out of the way of the giant owl "Why is Shriek trying to kill us? We haven't done anything to her!" Ori asked as he ran "I'm not sure." Seir replied. Ori then came to a broken bridge "There's no way across!" he said. "We'll need to jump down!" Sein replied.

Before they could make their decision, the avalanche pushed the trio off the edge "WE'RE GOING TO BE BURIED!!" Ori yelled before they landed in the snow with the snow from the avalanche covering them.

Both Ori and Sein felt the cold and chilling snow on them. They began to feel the chilling snow on them being moved before they felt themselves being picked up by something.

They soon heard a familiar voice speak to them "Open your eyes, little spirits. You three are safe now. You three have awoken the forest's memory, and me with it. I was able to find you three thanks to your different colours of fur and light. Now spring will return to the reach... though some might not welcome it." Baur spoke as Ori and Sein got up on their hooves. "Thanks, Baur. Who wouldn't welcome the spring?" Ori asked while shaking the snow out of his fur. "The creature Shriek is one. I saw her as I slept and dreamt dark dreams. She was born from dust, rising as the world fell beneath the ashes. She was rejected by every owl that once lived in this land and feared by all the Moki. To ash and dust, she returned. She... is lost. A pitiful creature. Her heart is stone. Gone too is the summer of the past, never to return. But thanks to both of you, spirits, a new summer will rise to take its place. Or so I have dreamt." Baur told the three.

The trio were shocked at Shriek's backstory "Wow... She was rejected from her kind and feared by all because of something that she couldn't control." Ori spoke with a sad tone "Yeah. I don't want to imagine how that must feel." Sein said with the same sadness.

The trio noticed that the sky was darkening "Night is approaching. We should head back to Wellspring glades." Seir spoke "Yeah. We'll need to rest up for the trip to Windswept wastes for the final wisp." Ori agreed with Sein nodding, also agreeing to the idea.

Thetrio soon said their farewells to Baur as they headed back to Wellspring gladesto rest up for the journey to Windswept wastes.
