Chapter 11

It has Winter!

I gulped the flem rising in my throat, "H-H-Have you been listening this whole time?" my voice quavered.

"I've been listening since Jon started talking about Nanuke!" Winter growled.

Jon scowled, "You know it's not nice to spy! And Nanuke was your father too. There is nothing to be ashamed of Winter."

Winter snorted, "Well I've been trying to live down Nanuke's Reputation for quite some time now! And I don't want to have to start over!"

I looked over to Jon, "I should go back. Thanks for having me." I kissed his cheek before walking out the door.

When I got back to my room, I found a very angry Winter punching a pillow. I could feel the sweat sliding down my forehead as I entered the room and he looked at me.

I stopped in my tracks and took a step back, incase I had to bolt to safety. And where would I bolt?...

I would run to Jon.

Of course that's how it would be.

But Winter suprises me when he just turns around angerly and flopped down on his bed.

I inched foreward, "Winter?"

He said something, but it was muffled by the pillow.

I took another step forewards, "Winter? Are you ok?"

"Go away and leave me alone." Winter growled through a mouthful of pillow.

Sighing, I gathered my courage and sat next to him on his bed, "Winter. Does me talking to Jon bother you THAT much?"

Winter nodded after a bit of hesitation. He still had his face in the pillow.

I put a hand on top of his head, "Winter. I can't help what I feel for Jon, but understand that I would never abandon you for him."

I could see Winter's head tilt a little to look at me, "Then why were you talking about me behind my back?"

I sighed, "I knew that you didn't like talking about your past, so I thought it wouldn't be so bad listening to Jon about it."

Winter sat up and looked at me, "That's it? Nothing else?"

I smiled softly, "Nothing else Winter." and I pulled Winter into a hug, and I swear he hugged me back.
