Another chance

Talk

It was devastating for Vegas to find out the truth. That night, he asked Pete for a talk after dinner. And Pete agreed. After putting Venice to bed, Pete came down for the talk. 

"So what do you want to talk about?" he asked, leaning against the wall. "sit down first" Pete did. 

"Pete, be honest with me. Are you hiding something from me?" Vegas asked, looking deep into his eye but Pete couldn't tell. 

"What are you saying? I am not hiding anything from you " Pete replied, he tried to laugh it off but Vegas kept a stern face and keep staring at him. 

"What?" Pete asked, caressing his face. " Nothing" Vegas rests his head on Pete. He wants to confront Pete about his health but he believes that Pete must have his reason and he would respect them.

"It's nothing, I am just being paranoid. let goes to bed?"  Vegas got up and offered Pete his hand. And Pete took it.

Pete's condition worsen day by day, and even tho though he tried to hide it Vegas still notice it. Vegas was noticing it more cause he had been staying at home with the excuse of his father teaching his younger brother how to manage the company, which was half true.

"Why are we going to the beach?" Pete asked curiously. "Cause you love the beach." Vegas smile. "But why aren't we bring Venice?" 

"Because I want to go on a date with you." He gives Pete a peck on the cheek. 

Soon they arrive at the beach, and Pete runs happily toward the water. He kicked some water toward Vegas and Vegas chase him. 

Soon Pete was tired and Vegas carry him to the hut that he rented.  In the afternoon, Pete videocall Porsche to check up on Venice. Venice was happily playing with Kinn. 

They spend their day being lovely dovely.

At the night, they sat near the bonfire and talk. "Why did you suddenly want to come here?" Pete ask as he took a bit of the food that Vegas has prepare. 

"Nothing, I just want to spend some time with you" Vegas replied with a fainted smile. " hmm" Pete replied with a mouthful of rice. 

"I mean you don't know when people are going to leave, so I want to spend time with the people I love so" As soon as Vegas said something in Pete click, he knows. 

"You know didn't you?" Vegas was silent. "That's why you are asking me a week ago if something was wrong" Pete continued. "Vegas answer me!" Pete was in tears and Vegas was just silent.
