Another chance

Rekindle

Vegas pov:

Pete has been acting strange. He becomes more and more distant from me day by day. When I asked if there was something wrong, he just ignored me. He looked sad all the time, and he was eating less and less.

 I don't know what to do to comfort him.

 I just want to see him smile again....... I would do anything to see him smile again.

It was Saturday evening, I was playing with Venice when he ask me to talk. We sat down in the living room. He was quiet, looking down and avoiding eye contact with me. "It's there something wrong?" I asked. 

"No, I was wondering if you can take us to the beach?" he asked. "to the beach?" I repeated, shocked at what he said. 

"Yea, it's fine if you are busy. I-" 

"no, we can go." I said. " okay then, we will go tomorrow. Is there any food you want to eat?" he asked. God, it has been so long since we have had a conversation like this. I really miss this. We talked for a long time and discuss tomorrow's plan for what to do.

Pete pov:

The doctor told me that I won't be able to live for about 2 years, 3 years maximum. The doctor that there is no cure for it and it would get worse over time. 

 I was devastated. What am I going to do? I won't be able to see my son grow up. I didn't tell anyone about it. I was depressed at first then thought instead of being sad, I would just live to the fullest.

I decided to forgive Vegas, although it still hurt me. The past is the past and I don't want to leave with a bad memory of him, I want to enjoy time with my family while I still have time.  

This evening, I ask him if we could go to the beach, he looked shocked by this approach but artistic about it. We have a long talk about what to do on the beach. It felt nice to let go of all of the grudges and look forward to the day with my mate and my son.

Author note: Hey guys, just want to tell you that I won't be able to post often but I will try to post. And give me some idea on what VegasPete and Venice will do on the beach.  
Also, I have read your guy's comment, I know you guys want a happy ending but this story is a sad ending. sry if you don't like it. But I do have a similar story call "love too late" it a happy ending, so check that out if you want to.
