See through (Ninjago x male reader)

Chapter 1

Unlike my other fanfic 'Set in Stone', this one doesn't go like episode = chapter, I just write however much I want per chapter. I had to create some made up characters for the story to work, but you won't meet them for now. Also, unlike 'Set in Stone', which goes in a slower pace through every episode, this one is an effing 100m sprint, I'm telling you. So don't say I didn't warn you. (*coughs in chapter four and five)

The four Ninja had just arrived at the docks in the edge of Ninjago city. The shady edge, atop all. They looked around the docks as all kinds off people were waiting on the docks, much like they were.

"Ah, I told you we shouldn't have worn them." Kai complained as he looked at their gis. A group of a red, black, blue, and green ninja. That would definitely draw some unwanted attention. Most had already noticed their presence, especially a pair of (e/c) eyes.

"The tournament of elements. You think all of them have powers like us?" Kai continued, looking at all the people present.

"When I asked my dad about it, he got really suspicious. Like there's something he's keeping from me." Lloyd said. 

"The fortune cookie said, 'tell no one or else there'd be consequences.'" Cole warned Lloyd.

"Relax, we're cool." Lloyd said before noticing a ferry arrive at the docks. The ferry had two floors and was quite big. Three people were on the deck, two of them placing a plank down between the ferry and the dock. The elemental masters lined up to get on the ferry as the third person with a fancy mustache stood near the plank.

"We don't know yet if this is a trap. Wherever they take us, we have to stick together." Lloyd said before the ninja too got into the line.

"Watch your step, madam." The mustached man said to an orange hooded girl. The girl turned to look behind her and smiled towards Kai, who froze at the sudden eye contact. The girl smiled at him before turning back around and getting on the ferry. As Kais mind hit blank, a smile formed on his face too.

"We can't let anything distract us. You hear me, Kai?" Lloyd said from behind him.

"I got it, I got it. No need to worry so much." Kai said before concentrating on the line again.

"Master Chen will be charmed to see you've accepted his offer. A Master of Spinjitzu shall fare favorably in his Tournament." The mustached man said to Jay, the first of the four in the line.

"Hey, we're not here to fight. We're here to save a friend." Jay commented.

"Don't be so petty, Master Jay." The man said and swiped Jay's Nunchucks from his bag before continuing with a smug smile.

"Everyone here has something to fight for."

"Chopsticks. I'm a big eater, heh." Jay laughed before the man smiled and threw Jay's 'chopsticks' into the water. Jay gulped before walking to the deck. Cole and Kai followed but before Lloyd had stepped in, Garmadon suddenly called out to him.

"Lloyd, wait! If you get on that boat, you may never return." He called and Lloyd turned around.

"What are you doing here, Dad?" He asked Garmadon.

"Master Chen is a dangerous man who should never be trusted. Whatever he promised you, do not believe him." Garmadon said and walked to the plank.

"Lord Garmadon. It's been a while. It's Sensei now, correct? I can't remember." The mustached man said to Garmadon.

"Clouse. I see Master Chen still has you running his errands." Garmadon glared at Clouse, who ignored the former as he got on the ship

"I have to go Dad. This is about Zane. It's about family. If we're ever going to be whole again, I have to get on that ship." Lloyd explained to Garmadon.
