A few Anacondrai cultist threw the captured Kai into a cell with the other elemental masters, with the exception of Skylor, who stood outside of the cell, next to her father, Chen. Kai looked up from the floor and examined the cell quickly.

"Where are (y/n) and Lloyd?" He asked Jay, who sat on the side quietly.

"They haven't been caught yet, so don't worry. Lloyd will come for us."

"I'm planning on it." Chen cackled outside the cell. Kai turned to him and Skylor, who didn't make eye contact with any of those in the cell, and instead looked down with an apologetic frown.

. . .

"Bring in the prisoners!" Clouse called as the group of elemental masters were escorted into the hall, vengestone shackles to keep their arms bound.

"So the Ninja were right. This was never about any of us winning the tournament. This was always about something sinister." Griffin spoke up as they walked down a path coming from a stone snakes head.

"What gave that away? Was it his cult following, or the giant snake head?" Shade asked sarcastically before Neuro spoke up.

"We've been fighting each other for so long, it took us all losing to finally pull us together.  Too bad it's too late." He said. Jay had been humming with a smile on his face for a bit now, before Kai finally grew tired of it and whipped his head around to face him.

"Why are you humming? You do know they're about to take our powers?!" Kai questioned Jay with a questioning glare.

"Since these cursed shackles have blocked our powers, I choose to use the power of positive thinking. Lloyd  will come save us. You just wait." Jay said as they got to the middle of the hall. Skylor avoided looking at them  until Kai spoke to her.

"Go ahead and look away, but you know as well as I do after takes our powers, he's still gonna need yours." He glared at Skylor.

"You don't understand. My father gets everything he wants. I had no choice." Skylor answered as Kai's face softened.

"Your face says otherwise." Kai ended as Skylor looked down in shame.

"Lock 'em down. All rise for Master Chen!" One of the cultists spoke as the elemental masters were forced down on one knee. The Anacondrai cultists cheered and drums played when Chen and his chair floated into the hall.

"Look at me, I'm floating!" He called and flailed his arms when the chair suddenly dropped lower and the cultists gasped. They continued cheering when Chen rose higher again before carefully floating in front of the elemental masters.

"I got it, I got it. I just got distracted by how awesome this place looks. Well done, Clouse. You've really set the mood. And look at this. Soon, I'll have more power. It's good to be me." Chen laughed.

"You may have us, but you still don't have the green ninja." Jay smirked at Chen.

"Or the master of spirit." Mr. Pale added.

"Ah, yes. I bet right now he'll swoop down to save you in the very last moment and teach me a valuable lesson. Well, I'll wait. I love lessons." Chen sat quietly in his chair as the elemental masters looked around.

"Any minute now." Jay whispered until Chen jumped up again.

"That's enough. I'm bored. But here's a lesson: don't be a sore loser. Only one can remain!" Chen yelled and used Zane's power of ice to steal the rest of their elemental powers.

"The power is mine. All mine!" Chen laughed as Jay whispered.

"...He never came."

"Take them to the factory." Chen commanded before Skylor spoke up.
