Jake was sitting down on the edge of a huge branch. His legs swinging off the side. I silently walked up behind him and sat down next to him. "Your other body is paralyzed?" I ask while looking forward. I notice in my periphery Jake looks at me. "Yes." He answers quietly. "I know what it's like. To have a useless body, but in this form having everything."

"I was born of the sky people as well." I say. "You could probably tell from my English." I say with a slight laugh. "I could." He says with a smile. "I got cancer." I quietly add on. "I was dying. My body was weak, I couldn't eat. I could barely move." I sigh at my emotional state.

"I was going to die."

"But I didn't care. I don't care about my other body. It meant nothing to me. I never felt attached to anyone. Even when I lived on Earth." I say.

I take a breath. "I helped Grace with the schools here. I was best friends with Neytiri." I smile at the thought of us back then. "Well, we were more than best friends. I loved her. She loved me."

"Then avatar were forbidden after the sky people attacked. Which I hated but I understood they needed to be safe. It was years of not seeing Neytiri. I never stopped thinking about her. Avatar were still not allowed, but I just needed to see her before I died."

"I told her of my passing, she cited. The people welcomed me back when the learned of my condition. I spent my last weeks here. I don't know how it's possible but I fell more in love with her. I fell more in love with Eywa." I explain to the avatar. "Now I am na'vi. I transferred my soul to this body. My true body." I add on.

"This is my home, and everyone has accepted me as one of them." I glanced over at Jake for the first time since talking. "If you even for a second put that at jeopardy." I stare into his eyes. "I will kill you, and I will make sure it hurts." I look back at the night.

"I don't trust you. I don't trust your kind." I add. "You were one of us." Jake says. "No, I never was. I was never selfish like you. I never wanted to hurt anyone." I breathe back the tears. "All they do is destroy and take. Until there is nothing left then they leave you in shambles." I felt my emotions starting to escape.

"I am nothing like that." I say it thoroughly. "I still can't tell if you are like that or not. I want to trust you. I truly do, but something is holding me back." I say while standing up. As I walk away I glance back at Jake. "Who's side are you on here?" I ask, Jake continues to stare forwards. I'm met with silence. I continue my walk back, "Goodnight Jake."

Today was showing Jake how we hunt. Neytiri gets close to the ground and points out the tracks in the mud to Jake. He nods in response. Neytiri slowly leads her finger against the plants around us. She then sniffs the air. "Hunting is similar but quite different." I whisper to Jake as he watches Neytiri's actions.

I look at Neytiri and she gives a nod. We follow her as we make our way on top of a rock. We all watch through leaves as a herd of sturmbeest walks though the lake. The babies were playing in between the mothers legs to protect themselves from predators.

One of them beasts trumpets. Causing the surrounding tetrapterons to fly away. The color of flapping wings fills the sky. Jake just silently stares at the scene unfolding. Neytiri and I quickly move to another spot. Jake didn't notice at first but quickly moved with us afterwards.

Neytiri and I stands still. Her eyes are closed shut. Everything except her ears were moving. Her ears moved at every little sound. "When you hear nothing, you will hear everything. When you see nothing, you will See everything." Neytiri says in a hushed voice. I look over at Jake to see his expression. It's a mix of awe and confusion.

We move on to the next lesson. We all creep up on a hexapede a deer like creature that's munching on the grass. Jake finally got the bow down after practicing for days. He nocks an arrow and sims it at the hexapede. He tracks it with his drawn arrow, then puts it down. At least he's respecting that rule even if he doesn't understand it.

Jake is not allowed to make a kill. The forest hasn't given him permission. It took me a couple months to get permission as well. Still I'd rather leave the hunting to Neytiri and just come along with her.
