I ordered a large cheeseburger with extra pickles. Everyone knew I was pregnant now so what was the point of hiding it? I got a chocolate milkshake with extra large fries.
Damon watched me eat with raised eyebrows. I was eating for two now and Damon could kiss my a*s.
"You wanted to talk."
"I know."
"Matt! I need another refill!"
He gave me a nod before helping his other customer. I dipped my fry in some ranch and dipped the other side in ketchup.
"What are you...? Are you seriously going to eat that?"
"Yes I am."
"That's gross."
"The baby wants it."
I popped the fry in my mouth and chewed it thoughtfully. It did seem pretty gross but it was good.
"Yeah the baby wants it."
"What do you want to talk about Damon?"
"About us and the baby."
"What about my baby?"
"It takes two to tango, Callie."
"Who said anything about the tango?"
"Who's the baby daddy then?"
"Me."
"So you magically made a baby appear in your stomach?"
"Yeah. It was quite spectacular."
So that night Damon and I talked. Egghead was kicking and my food was undeniably good. Damon finally ordered some food and I ate most of it. I couldn't help it Egghead was hungry. I finally got home and settled in my bed. It felt good to be home.
4 Months Later
I was laying in bed and my now huge stomach. Egghead was due any day now. I was on bed rest until Egghead decided to make it's way out of me.
I was munching on a sandwich when a pain came through so strong. My sandwich fell to the floor and I felt a burst of liquid flow down my legs. Another pain shot through my stomach and I knew it was time. I reached blindly for my cell phone and dialed the so familiar number.
"Hello?"
"You need to get here."
"Why? What's wrong?"
"My water just broke."
"I'm on my way."
I couldn't go to the hospital and deliver Egghead because he or she could come out full vampire. Doctor Falls would be coming to my house and I would have the baby at home in my bed.
It literally wasn't five minutes later before the door opened and what sounded like bare feet was running up the stairs. My door opened and Damon was standing there looking panicked. He took in my wet sheets and the sandwich that was laying in my floor before he finally moved towards me.
"It's okay, Callie, just breathe."
He placed a hand on the small of my back before lightly pushing me forwards. A pillow was placed behind my back and he went to grab towels.
"I called Meredith and she said she was on her way."
"Did you call Rebekah or Bethany?"
"I called Rebekah and I guess you can call Bethany."
"But what about my dad?!"
"I'll call him now."
I dialed my friend's phone number and sat patiently as it rung.
"Hello, Callie, what's up?"
"I'm in labor, b*tch. Get here as fast as you can!"
"I'm on my way! Dean! You're gonna have to babysit the kids! Callie is in labor! I-."
The phone hung up. They were seriously the cutest couple ever and it was kinda sickening. Rebekah was climbing through the window at the same time my dad was running in the house.
"This is so exciting! I'm gonna be an Aunt. Aunt Rebekah!"
"Callie! My baby girl is about to have a baby!"
I breathed through another contraction before grabbing Damon's hand. I squeezed it tightly and then it was a swift little pop and Bethany was standing beside the bed.
"Dean said to tell you congratulations. I can't believe this is happening! Damon be a sweetheart and fetch me a bowl of boiling hot water. Now let me take a peek Callie."
I let out a sharp cry before grabbing the headboard. I felt something coming out. Egghead wasn't waiting for Meredith, he or she was coming now.
"The head is out! Callie you're going to have to push."
Bethany was propping my legs up and directing me to push. It took two pushes before a soft cry rung out in the room. Bethany was holding up little Egghead and it was a girl.
Meredith made it in time to help with the umbilical cord. Damon ended up cutting it. Finally I was content with my life.
1 Year Later
We ended up naming her Bethany Rebekah. She had just started to toddle around and she always tried to keep with with Bethany's twins. Damon and I worked out our problems but we decided to be alone for awhile. We still had the soulmate thing going on but were coexisting with each other.
Rebekah and Stefan got married and were honeymooning in Italy. My dad and his girlfriend were still going strong and I thought she was good enough for my dad. I was watching Damon and Becky play on the swings with a small smile on my face. Damon waved me over and I pulled Bethy into my arms and spun her around.
I was happy and that was all the mattered. I did get my revenge on Elena and I did end up charming the vampire.
