I was awoken when Lucio started to shake me. I let out a whine, "What do you want?"
"Let's go dancing!" Lucio says enthusiastically.
I rub my eyes before looking out the window, finding it's still dark outside, other than the moonlight.
"What time is it?" I whisper, still trying to let the situation sink in.
"It's midnight, but I have so much energy and can't sleep. I haven't spent much time with you in the past few days so I would like you to join me for a dance darling." He says running his hands through my hair.
I let out a sigh, finally being as awake as I can get. "Alright, I'd like that. Let's go."
He lifts me from the bed, bridal style and rushes towards the door with a huge grin on his face.
I turned the handle to let us out, since his hands were busy holding me.
He starts to sprint down the hall still holding me in his arms. I can't help but let out a laugh at his eagerness.
"You're really enjoying this aren't you?" I ask him.
He grins down at me, "Very much. I love the sound of your laugh."
I blush at the sudden complement, "Thank you."
Soon enough we reach the ball room and he gently places me on the ground.
I suddenly feel embarrassed about what I'm wearing, "Love, I'm still in my night clothes."
"As am I, and if I care." He says grabbing my hand and dragging us to the middle of the room.
He starts to sway, the moonlight from outside reflecting off his face from the window.
"Your eyes are pretty." I mutter not fully awake yet, he chuckles.
"Thank you darling." He says, as he spins me around.
"It's weird dancing without music, isn't it?" I ask him.
"Do you want music?"
"It would be better with it, but I do not wish to wake up the whole castle." I sigh, swaying in sync with him.
"I am the count, and if my partner wishes to have music while we dance they will get what they want." He grabs my hands and races towards the front of the ballroom, where the speakers are.
I can't help but laugh at how much energy he has, it's nice to see him this happy.
He presses a button and slow music starts to play. Not loud enough for the whole castle to hear but enough for us to dance.
I smile at him and kiss his cheek, "Thank you, now let's dance."
He kisses my lips before pulling me back on the dance floor.
We dance for what feels like hours before Lucio begins to feel tired.
"Let's head back to bed, why don't we?" He asks me as he turns off the music.
I nod, yawning.
He picks me up again, and I nuzzle my head into the crook of his neck.
"I don't know how you do it, all this count stuff." I whisper, half awake.
"It took me a while to figure it out, but it's worth it." He says walking quietly down the hall.
We shortly reach our room, "Can you help me open the door darling?"
I turn the door handle and he walks into the room.
The smell of lavender and fresh cotton fills my nostrils making me more sleepy.
He walks over to the bed and places me down softly. I don't unwrap my hands from around his neck, wanting him to give me a kiss.
He laughs before fulfilling my wishes, leading me to eventually let him go.
He walks around to the other side of the bed and joins me.
He grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him.
I wrap my arms around him, placing my head on his chest.
He starts to hum while running his fingers through my hair.
I smile before drifting off to sleep.
