Akira Pov

I walked out of the room, the shoes I was wearing being one I had borrowed from Azrael, who kindly lent me her shoes while I slept. Apparently, we were the same size. She has style too. The shoes were white boots with a black sole and green laces. I walked the hallways to see almost broken-down house. Like it was abandoned and they had placed me in one of the only remaining rooms. It explained why it was so cold too. I just needed to make it outside to talk to Hiro. That's all I needed to do.

"You're awake... sorry for attacking you the other day." I heard a girl's voice as I walked into a different room. Her pink hair was tied into a braid that was put up into a small bun. She wore a big grey sweater and shorts. This was Azrael. We grew up as neighbours.

"Well technically it was me, but alright. Blame yourself, Azzie." A second girl spoke. She looked almost identical to Azrael, but wore her hair down and had a white cloth tied around her eyes. She had on a white turtle neck with the sleeves ripped off and black jeans. "Azazel!" Azrael warned, glaring at them. I took a moment to process them both. They were one in the same. A demon.

"So, sleeping beauty. He's gone, isn't he?" Azazel asked. I looked down for a moment before taking a deep breath and nodding. The room grew silent. It made me notice the window. It was slightly nervous. I could see that Hiro was standing outside, pacing. He was nervous about something. I didn't want to go out there. What if we fought and we all fell apart. I loved him... I didn't want to ruin our friendship.

I needed to go out there though.

I walked to the door behind Azazel and opened it, closing it behind me as I walked away. His pacing stopped as he turned and saw me and my awkward smile. "You wanted me?" I asked. He took a deep breath before nodding.

"I... uh.... I'm sorry for standing you up the other day. You've been avoiding me for a while." Hiro explained. My smile faded to a frown before I stretched. "I get it. Darwin is hard to believe. I'm glad your both... happy though." I choked. He looked at me, his expression blank.

"Don't lie to me, Akira. It's kind of clear." He spoke coldly. I laughed in the cold gaze of Hiro that made me feel anxious. What did he know. "What do you mean?" I asked, rubbing the back of my neck softly. His mannerisms were jerky and almost forced as he walked closer to me.

Hiro got close enough for our bodies to be inches apart as his eyebrows softened. "You are obvious, Kiyoyama. Even Mai noticed before I did." He spoke out, his cold voice turning soft and full of a familiar warmth. "You have a crush on me." He continued.

"What makes you think that." I scoffed out, taking a few steps back and moving behind him. He turned to face me, having his back towards the door. That's when I examined him. His hair was half up, with a small bun. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt, and pants to match. His cheeks had the slightest tinge of rose to them. Almost like he was trying to flirt. "The way you look at me, talk about me. Literally everything you do around me."

"Stop right there." I cut him off, furrowing my eyebrows. I owe Darwin not to do this to him. I backed up more. "Dare is going to the dance with you and I'm not. You accepted him. Don't personally come to me to try and get me to say shit when you have a date." I coughed out, glaring slightly.

"I don't want to go with him, can't you tell." Hiro spoke, trying to convince me to stop. The dance was in three weeks. I've never really thought about it before. The door suddenly opened behind him, revealing Norway, who was in a different outfit now. He wore a white t-shirt and black jeans with a wallet chain attached. I was just realizing how different they looked. Norways hair was a darker brown rather than black and Hiro had a tinge of blue in his hair.

"Stop hitting on him, you got me? He's taken." Norway rolled his eyes, shoving passed Hiro and walking over to me. He then handed me a piece of torn paper. 'Play along' was written on it. "By who, dumbass?" Hiros façade faded when his brother was around.

"Me, asshole." Norway glared at his older brother. I looked up at Norway, pretending not to be shocked. He asked me to play along, I'm going to do it. "Bullshit. Like you could land someone, little brother." Hiro teased. I wanted nothing to do with this.

"How about you two talk, and I go home." I smiled awkwardly, backing away from the both of them before feeling Norways hand on my shoulder. It wasn't a grasp but a soft gentle touch. Like he was asking me to stay. His gaze kept on his brother but I stopped. I wanted to play it out.

"You can't be serious, guys. You two? Never." Hiro scoffed, like we were joking at him. I mean we were, but I was asked to go along with it. Norway took my hand, taking me and starting to walk into the streets, causing me to trip slightly as I tried to catch up with him.

Norway held my hand until we were out of sight. He then let go and put his hand on the back of his neck. "Sorry bout that." He apologized. I looked at him, the both of us continue if on our walk. "You saved my ass. Don't apologize to me, dork. You just got us both in a web of lies though." I revealed, making him think for the first time of his life.

"What did I get myself into." Norway sarcastically commented on the past argument, causing me to smirk slightly. "What you wanted to do, clearly. Aren't you an Incubus?" I asked, causing him to look down at me, his eyes widening slightly. He then looked away, nodding slightly.

"Ah. Your lucky that you know what type of demon you are." I smiled, keeping my eyes forward as we arrived at an empty field. He was shocked at my statement. We then started to walk in the field. "You don't know what type of demon you are? How is that even possible, princey?" Norway questioned. I shrugged in reply.

"No one ever told me how to tell and whenever my powers come into play, I never see them." I explained, stopping and sitting on the green grass. He sat next to me before tilting my head and squinting at me. Judging by your dad, I'd say your part Exonian." Norway tried to guess. I looked at him.

"You knew my dad? Exonian?" I asked, my eyes widening. He laughed nervously. Like he couldn't say anything about my heritage.
