The Only Girl for Me~ Eleven x Reader

Nickname

"Y'know what? I think we should give Twelve a nickname." Dustin said. "Nickname?" I say. "Its a short form of your name. Maybe we could call you.... Elve." Dustin said. "Elve?" Lucas repeated in disbelief. "That's a horrible name." He said. "What about Ev?" Mike suggested. "I got one! Vee." Max says. I smile. "Vee." I say. "Vee it is then." Lucas says. 

We all fall silent afterwards, not really knowing what else to say.

Mike got up and walked over to a small table. He picked up a blue square thing. "Did you guys no that Bob was the original founder of Hawkins AV?" He asked. I shook my head. I didn't even know who Bob was. "Really?" Lucas asked. Mike turned around.

"He petitioned the school to it and everything. And then he had a fundraiser for equipment. Me Clarke learned everything from him. Pretty awesome, right?" Mike asked. "Yeah." Lucas and Dustin said. Mike set the blue thing in the table.

"We can't let him die in vain." Mike said. "Well what di you wanna do Mike? The chiefs right on this. We can't stop those Demo-dogs on our own." Dustin said. "Demo-dogs?" Max repeated. "Demogorgan dogs. Demo-dogs. Its like a compound word. Its like play on words-" "Okay!" Max said.

"I mean, when it was just Dart maybe..."

"But now there's a whole army."

"Precisely." 

"His army." Mike said. "What do you mean?" Steve asked. "His army. Maybe if we stop him, we can stop his army, too." Mike said. He got up and walked out to the other room. We followed. Mike fumbled with a piece of paper.

"The shadow monster." Dustin said. "It got Will that day on the field. The doctor said it was like a virus, it infected him." Mike explained. "And so this virus, it's connecting him to the tunnels?" Max asked. "Must be." I say. To the tunnels, the monsters, the upside down, everything." Mike said.

"Whoa, who's whoa. Slow down. Slow down." Steve said. He seemed to be having some trouble comprehending everything. "Okay so, the shadow monsters inside everything. And if the vines feel something like pain, then so does Will." Mike said. 

"And so does Dart."

"Yeah. Like Mr Clarke taught us. The hive mind."

"Hive mind?" I ask. "A collective consciousness. Its a super organism." Dustin said. I nodded slowly, not knowing what any of that meant. "And this is the thing that controls everything. Its the brain." Mike said.

"Like the Mind Flayer." Dustin said. Lucas's eyes widened, and snap-pointed at Dustin. "The what?" Max, Steve, and I said at the same time in confusion.
