Chapter 8

AGNES' POV

It was awkward now that just Kieran and I was left alone.

"Did he tell you himself it was Colom?"
Kieran asked.

"Yeah he did actually"
I admitted.

"You also mentioned favorites, was you his favorite?"
Kieran questioned.

These questions was horrible.

I don't think Kieran realized that though so I wasn't going to hold it against him yet.

"I-I was"
I stuttered.

"I wasn't, I was just a stable boy? What did you do?"
Kieran inquired.

I remained silent and wondered whether I should tell Kieran or not.

"I did whatever he wanted me to do, murdering was a common one, I didn't want to die"
I admitted.

I didn't notice that a tear fell down my face.

Shit.

I got up to walk away.

I walked towards the edge of camp and sat on a nice rock.

I lifted my shirt up slightly to look at the Scar I got almost a decade ago.

"Look Miss I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to make yo- damn what the hell is that?"
Kieran asked.

I glared at the second part of that sentence.

"Open your eyes you damn moron, you never seen a scar before?"
I hissed.

"I didn't mean it like that, it doesn't look bad or anything"
Kieran reasoned.

"Don't lie, it looks disgusting"
I snickered.

"What happened?"
Kieran asked.

"You love asking questions, don't you? It only seems to be me you ask them too though"
I sighed.

"Well the truth is Colm shot me, you already know that"
I added.

Kieran reached forward to touch it but paused.

"May I?"
Kieran asked.

I nodded in response.

I tensed up as he touched the scar.

"A vile scar by a vile man"
I joked.

"I agree with the vile man part"
Kieran shrugged.

Kieran let go of my scar.

"So how'd he treat you? I know he slapped the shit out of you once, on the day you got captured by Arthur"
I explained.

"We was watching from afar before we uh shot the place up"
I sighed.

"There probably still at Six Point Cabin"
Kieran informed.

"We shot that place up too, you was there, you saved me"
I chuckled.

"No I mean they will have gone back"
Kieran stated.

"Oh"
I deadpanned.

"As I was going to say, I'm sorry that I made you cry"
Kieran apologized.

"Well you can make it up to me by teaching me how to read, honestly I'm struggling really bad"
I admitted.

"I will but I'm surprised you don't want someone like Mary Beth or Hosea to do it"
Kieran shrugged.

"Well I choose you, for some unknown reason"
I chuckled.

"Alright then, we start tomorrow"
Kieran informed.
