Chapter 22

From Being Hostage to Being Rescued, but with A Price

You were chained to a pillar as you struggled to get out from your restraints. Your first kidnapper was Dartz, and now it's Bakura.

You sighed, "What does Bakura want from me anyway?"

"You really don't know, do you?"

You turned to Naraku as he walks in with Kana next to him. The evil hanyō smirked as you glared at him with a scowl.

"Naraku."

He chuckles, "And you're the human Sesshomaru protected from me. Y/n, was it?"

You stayed silent and turned your head away from him. The evil half demon chuckles as he began to approach you. But before he could speak, one of his demon bees came in and mentally gave a report of an intruder coming to the palace. Naraku's lips turned to a scowl and you turned to him as he looks at you.

"It appears Sesshomaru has come to rescue you," he sneers, "along with  Inuyasha and your friends."

"But I have a plan," Bakura says as he walks in, "and it's something that the Pharaoh cares the most."

Naraku's eyes perked up with interest. "Elaborate."

"I've noticed that the Pharaoh is close with Y/n, so I was thinking we use her as bait." Bakura smirks, "Besides, wouldn't that also get Sesshomaru's attention as well?"

Your eyes widened in fear as Naraku laughs at your expression. "Ah, it's seems both rulers have their eyes on you."

"H-How do you know of this?" You asked.

The half demon chuckles as he walks over to your figure. As he got close to you, Naraku gently lifts up your chin as your eyes stared into his.

"I have been having my saimyōshō keeping an eye on you from a distance during your time in your era." He smirks, making you quiver in fear.

Naraku removed his hand from your face as he walks over to Bakura. The spirit of the Millennium Ring grins as he looks at his ally.

"When shall we begin the bait?"

Naraku chuckles before giving a glance at you, "The bait starts now."

Inuyasha and the others followed Sesshomaru as they hurried over to the location that Kyoya had said. Soon enough, they all were at the gates of a palace. There were no guards as silence was carried in the air.

"It's a bit quiet here." Téa stated.

"You're right, Téa. But where are the guards?" Tristan asks.

"Being held hostage, I'm afraid."

Everyone turns to Dark Magician, much to Yami's and the gang's surprise. The magician's eyes widened but they soon gave a calming look in them.
