Darkness...

Just Darkness...

Strangely, you could feel your body.

Was there anything else? Or was it just you in this dark void?

You certainly weren't floating, that's for sure. Although if you were, you would probably freak out.

This happens most of the time when a bucket of water is dunked on your head. You lose your sense of sight and hearing in the real world, along with feeling and everything else. Leaving you in this dark lonely void. The first time this ever happened was after a few days back underground before you woke up in that test tube. You honestly thought you were dead back then.

There's nothing else to do but wait until the water evaporates from your body, which could take a few days. Boring isn't it? If it's 'game over' for you, your punishment is sitting on the hard cold floor of...wherever you are.

See? I told you it's boring. At least you're sitting down and reading this on your electronic device. You can watch as the author of this book break the fourth wall over and over again.

You let yourself fall down onto the hard surface on the floor, you looked up into nothing but darkness. You sighed and started thinking of something to do, but stopped then gasped as you saw light come from your pocket. It glowed in the darkness of the void.

"Well that's new." You reached your hand into the pocket and pulled out your pocket watch. You narrowed your eyes as it adjusted to the glow of the watch. You could see a bit clearer in the dark now.

The floor was made of diamonds, or shining coloured crystals. The walls were too, also made of the same thing, it was a cave, one huge cave of crystals.

Darkness was gone... Light took its place.

It was so beautiful, the walls, the floor, the roof. Not so boring anymore huh?

"This is amazing..." You said, with your jaw hanging opened.

"I know right!"

You suddenly turned around in shock as you heard Mirio's voice. He was there, well, kinda. One of the huge crystals sticking out of the ground had a redish glow on it as you saw Mirio inside it.

"Mirio?"

"Yup! It's me!" He laughs. "The man who will save a million people!"

You couldn't believe what you're seeing, how is this even possible? Mirio, or at least a reflection of Mirio glowed within the white prism.
