Brooklyn was glorious at night, Lisa thought as she and Roseanne walked around a little park downtown. So far, their date was going very smoothly and the brunette was enjoying her time getting to know the blonde. Since it was a Sunday night, there were not as many people outside as there usually was any other day of the weekend. As they walked, Lisa saw two or three other couples, a small group of teenagers messing around as they enjoyed their last day of freedom before going back to school the following morning, and about four other people strolling around on their own. The brunette found it perfect like that. The relative silence allowed her attention to be fully centred on Roseanne and to what she was saying.

As Roseanne was telling Lisa about one of her work stories at the hospital about a grumpy old patient, there was suddenly a chilly gush of wind which made tree branches sway left and right. Lisa promptly felt the other woman tighten her hold on her arm as she snuggled deeper into the brunette's side, seeking warmth. While she didn't know whether or not Roseanne succeeded, Lisa knew for sure that she herself got instantly hotter the minute Roseanne moved closer to her. It felt good to have her close as that and Lisa could barely refrain the small contented smile that pulled at her lips.

As they continued walking, Lisa noticed the slightest tremor in Roseanne's shoulders and figured out she was still freezing. Thus, like the gentlewoman she was, Lisa took off her black leather gloves and offered them to the blonde.

"Here, these will keep you warm for sure. They're my favourite, I never get cold when I have these gloves on. Plus, they're super cute. Take them." Lisa softly glanced at Roseanne as the intern looked at the fancy looking pair of gloves with a mix of hesitation and longing in her blue eyes.

"What about you? Will you not get cold if I take them? I don't want you to get cold," Roseanne said while slightly shaking her head from side to side with a concerned small furrow in her brows.

Feeling touched by the fact that the other girl seemed worried about her, Lisa's slight smile developed into a full one as she made an offhand gesture, "Don't worry about it, I'm Canadian, I can handle a bit of cold alright."

Roseanne, visibly having heard for the first time about this information about the brunette, had a look of surprise in her eyes which rapidly turned into a more flirtatious one.

"Oh, well that explains how nice and good-mannered you are. Maybe it doesn't even have to do with that, though. Maybe it's just you." Roseanne graciously took Lisa's gloves from her hand and put them on, grateful for the instant warmth and comfort they surrounded her hands with.

Lisa looked down at the sidewalk as she felt the apple of her cheeks cramp a bit from smiling too hard. The actress felt sort of like a schoolgirl around Roseanne, though that didn't mean she didn't have game. If Roseanne wanted to get in that flirting stage, Lisa was more than okay with giving the blonde a run for her money.

So, Lisa decided to play along and shrugged her shoulders in faux nonchalance, "Maybe," she said as she leaned closer to the woman and whispered in Roseanne's ear "Or maybe that's just your effect on me."

Roseanne glanced at the brunette from the side and hummed noncommittedly "Perhaps. I have that effect on a lot of people, it appears."

At that, despite her best efforts not to sound too much like a jealous jackass, Lisa couldn't help the slight clench of her jaw and the sassy raise of her brow as she blurted out "Yeah, I saw that."

The blonde stopped in her track and turned her body so that it was completely facing Lisa's as she grinned amusedly to the brunette woman.

"What do you mean?"

Lisa's cheekbones darkened the slightest bit, the woman feeling quite embarrassed. She looked the other way for a few seconds and observed a short line of taxis on the street across pulling over the curb after being summoned by rushed and tired pedestrians. Lisa watched as the yellow cars also honked at each other upon trying to get back on their lane but couldn't because there was too much traffic.
