1994
I blink my eyes, and I am on a bike, glaring at the sun. I'm riding on a sidewalk through a suburban neighborhood, and it is extremely sunny outside. After I pass house after house, I start to get control of my body, my real, earthly body.
It's wonderful.
I suddenly remember my name: Augusta Henley Hayes, age fifteen. I look just like my real self: red hair, brown eyes, pointy ears and a slender stature.
I'm wearing an ugly sweater with jeans and a school ID with my picture on it. I look terrible.
As I ride, I pass several other kids walking to school, but I look up ahead as I get closer to my school, I see a figure, and chills race down my spine.
This is him, the person who I am supposed to Judge. His name is Jared Edmonton.
Jared has dark hair and brown eyes, and is noticeably tall. He wears a faded blue jacket and his school football jersey, and walks while listening to a music device and reading a book I don't recognize.
I ride past him on my bike, and he doesn't even look at me, he stays focused at whatever he is looking at in the distance.
I get a rush from the bike, and I approach the building, and look behind me where Jared is jogging to make sure he isn't late to our destination: School.
I lock my bike onto the rack outside of the building, and walk to the front doors, with Jared right on my heels.
