Arjun was cooking egg curry at Navika's kitchen while he was wearing the kitchen apron. Navika placed two plates, bowls, spoon, jugs and glasses on the dining table for the dinner.

She poured dog food in a small dog food bowl where a puppy, Fluffy was sleeping by the bowl. She caressed his head who sniffed the bowl, woke up and began to have his food.

She went to the kitchen where a cauldron was kept on the slab. She opened the lid of the cauldron which had hot fried rice inside.

Arjun said, " The curry has been prepared. "

She looked at the curry.

" It's giving an appetizing aroma! Will you take it to the table? "

" Okay. "

" Okay. I'll take the rice. "

She brought the cauldron to the dining table and served the rice on the plates.

Arjun and Navika had dinner together. He looked at the Fluffy. He continued to have the rice curry.

He asked, " Where is his mom? "

" Molly? She died three weeks ago. "

" Oh! Sorry to hear that. "

" His siblings, Bella and Coco were killed by stray dogs while they were sleeping outside. "

" My god! It's quite gruesome. "

They continued to eat for a while.

He said, " You don't watch TV while having dinner. "

" Do you? "

He considered and sighed.

" Yeah. I watch a bit of sitcoms or football match at night. You know watching sitcom at night helps a lot to relieve stress. "

" I see. Actually the recharge subscription of TV has expired three days ago. I always forget to get it done. "

" Used to happen with me too a lot that's why I have opted for free to air set up box. The channels are limited but they are enough for me. "

" You don't pay them? "

" No. All channels are free to air basis, so I don't have to pay for any subscription. "

The puppy began to bark. They looked at his bowl which had gone empty.

Arjun said, " He needs more. "

" No. He just want to get out for a night walk. "

Navika came out of house with Arjun after having the dinner. Navika had her puppy who was fastened with the belt.

They began to walk at side of the road.

She asked, " It's too late night. Shall I drop you home? "

He chuckled, " No. It's just a few miles away from here. I'll hitch a ride. "

He went ahead to the main road

" No one is going to stop at night. "

He arrived at the main road where he stretched his hand to a car which didn't stop. He began to walk along with the road. It began to rain a few seconds later when he again stretched his hands to a maxi truck. The maxi truck stopped by him and he sat inside.

While Anirudh was driving through the plain roads, Amar lowered the radio volume.

He asked, " What Manbir had told you after they went missing? "

" Ransom. "

" And what he had told you not to do? "

" Not to call the cops. "

" Really? Then why the hell you didn't agree with him? "

" Sorry? What you are saying? "

" Mr. Katkar you earn a lot that's why you send your children in that premium school. You could just have paid him the ransom and freed your kids. "

" Could you please just tell me where we are going? "

" You should have agreed him, you shouldn't have called the cops. "

" You are a cop. Why you are talking like this? "

" I am not a cop right now. Let's play a game. It's a kind of quiz. Are you ready? "

Anirudh didn't respond.

Amar asked, " You have to guess who give me orders? "

" Commissioner. "

" No. "

" DIG. "

" Wrong. I get 30k monthly for taking commissioner's order but I get 80k for taking his order. "

" You are talking about bribe. "

" What did you just say? "

Anirudh didn't respond.

Amar yelled, " What did you just say? "

Anirudh stammered, " N.. Nothing. "

" Turn left. "

" Left? "

" What did you hear? "

Anirudh turned left and got his car off the road into the plains. The car stopped few miles away from the road. Amar came out of car and gestured Anirudh too to come out.

He asked, " Why we are here? "

" I want to talk you in private. Come on. "

Anirudh pulled up the hand break, turned off the car and moved out. Amar dropped his cigarette and put it out from his shoe. He turned to Anirudh and called him to stand by him by the car.

Amar asked, " I would like to tell you about a man. I am sure you might have heard about him. Rohit Khurana was his real name. Sharp, intelligent and too smart. He was in army actually. "

" But why you are telling me about him? What I have to do with him? "

" He was too smart as you. His son was too kidnapped and the kidnappers only demanded an amount of ransom. He could have paid the ransom as his wife was too a working professional. But the couple decided to report the police and that's what they did a mistake. "

" What happened then? "

Amar chuckled, " Which means you haven't heard about Mr. Khurana. Well, when they came to know about them I was told to do for what I get 80k from him. "

Anirudh's phone rang. He picked up the call.

Raima asked, " Are you coming? "

" I am on my way. What's up? "

" I was just asking. It's too late now. "

" I.. I am coming. Just coming right now. "

He hung up the call.

Amar said, " She cares a lot about you. "

" You got his family killed. I have gone through the entire news. Rohit's body was found in his home. He was shot on his head. "

" Well, even if you have come to know about what I did you won't be able to tell about it to anyone else. "

He pulled his collar and took him few steps away from the car. He made him to sit on his knees, took out his gun and pointed it on the back of his head. Amar took out his phone and made a call to Nakul. Nakul was sitting on his bike which was parked at a long walking distance from a clinic.

He picked up the call.

" I was expecting your call Das. "

" Did he come out of the clinic? "

Nakul sighed, " Not yet. I am still waiting for him to come out. "

" Okay. But make it soon and text me later on. "

" I'll update you in a moment. "

Amar hung up the call.
